Elegant bistrot with great service and well prepared dishes. The bistecca alla fiorentina was good, although lacking a bit of temperature. The duck breast was excellent, as well as the pasta with boar ragout and the lemon risotto. Service was very attentive, our waitress was the best. The only drawbacks: If you’re claustrophobic, know that you’ll eat in a cellar with no windows (there is a terrace also when weather allows). Also, coperto (cover charge) at 3 euros each for a few slices of stale bread didn’t make much sense: We ended up paying 18 euros for that item alone- the equivalent of a main dish. Wow what a place! Firstly the building is stunning you can sit inside, outside and downstairs which is very refreshing on a hot day. Secondly the service is just incredible. Very attentive, Anna and Nora were the perfect hosts! And lastly the food. Well I don’t have the words to describe how good the food was. It was so wonderful we at here 3 times in 2 days! I think this is the best dining experience I have ever had. A beautiful day in a beautiful village in Tuscany. The Casio Pepe was out of this world. The shaved truffles over the filet mignon grilled to perfection and the moist brownies with yogurt ice cream complemented with a creme brûlée made for an unforgettable experience.
