Café Momus — Restaurant in Peschiera del Garda

We ate to Cafe Momus 2 days ago during our stay at the Lago di Garda. We came at 6 pm - a bit early for the other restaurants - but we were greeted by a very friendly waiter who accepted to serve us that early (the restaurant just opened for the evening). We tried the amberjack ceviche, and it was truly delicious - we even tried to recognize all the ingredients to make it ourself ! Overall the courses were very tasteful, and we ate with a smile on our faces and our table was silent of happiness. The restaurant is well decorated, with great music and particularly an old portable gramophone - that our waiter played just for us because of our interest in the object. He even let us bear the heavy vinyls that came with it. It was truly a superb night with a great view on the lake. The prices may seem a little high, but the quality is really superior to other restaurants. The one under the Cafe Momus might have more clients, I largely prefered eating upstairs. Il ristorante Caffè Momus è un vero gioiello gastronomico che merita di essere esplorato, soprattutto per chi cerca un'esperienza culinaria di alto livello. La nostra visita, che ho condiviso con mia moglie, si è rivelata un'esperienza memorabile, a partire dall'accoglienza calorosa fino all'ultima forchettata.

Abbiamo iniziato il nostro percorso gastronomico con un antipasto di polipo e patate, accompagnato da fagiolini. Questo piatto è stato una vera rivelazione: il polipo era cotto alla perfezione, tenero e saporito, mentre le patate e i fagiolini aggiungevano una freschezza che esaltava il tutto. L'armonia dei sapori era sorprendente, creando un impatto gustativo che ci ha colpito profondamente.

Successivamente, abbiamo optato per un piatto di pesce che includeva vongole, cozze e pomodorini rossi. Ogni boccone era un viaggio sensoriale; la freschezza del pesce, combinata con il sugo ricco e profumato, ci ha lasciati senza parole. L'abbondanza del piatto ha reso l'esperienza ancora più soddisfacente, dimostrando una cura particolare nella selezione degli ingredienti.

Per concludere la serata in dolcezza, ci siamo lasciati tentare dai dessert. Ogni dolce era una vera opera d'arte, non solo per la presentazione ma anche per il gusto raffinato. Hanno rappresentato una perfetta conclusione alla nostra cena, lasciandoci una sensazione di piacere duraturo.

Per accompagnare il nostro pasto, abbiamo scelto due calici di vino bianco Santa Cristina, che si è rivelato un abbinamento eccellente, valorizzando ulteriormente i sapori dei piatti.

Ma ciò che realmente ha reso la nostra esperienza indimenticabile è stata l'attenzione e l'entusiasmo del personale. Ogni membro del team ha dimostrato una notevole cura nel servizio, facendo sentire ogni cliente come se fosse speciale. Questa dedizione ha aggiunto un valore inestimabile alla nostra cena.

In conclusione, consiglio vivamente il Caffè Momus a chiunque desideri vivere un'esperienza gastronomica di qualità. La combinazione di piatti straordinari, un ottimo servizio e un'atmosfera accogliente rende questo ristorante una scelta imperdibile. We are here, after admiring the beautiful views the restaurant offers over the lake. As a family of 5, our priority was to find a family friendly restaurant that served a little bit more than just pasta and pizza.

The staff went over and above to ensure our kids were taken care of. With a bowl of mussels and a smaller portion of scampi/calamari. Our kids loved the food and we had a very enjoyable relaxing meal.

From the pasta, to the fish, to the desert, all of our food was amazing.
