Paradiso Del Coregone — Restaurant in Peschiera del Garda

The food in our two visits to this restaurant - putting aside the desserts, unfortunately - was undoubtedly the best we had in Italy during this trip to lakes Garda and Maggiore. Of course, it's still more or less the usual Italian fare, but you can tell that the chef knows exactly what he's doing. My favourite was the excellent "fish soup", which is served in a kind of bread and is full of excellent and fresh seafood (and I'm not that crazy about seafood), but the pizzas were also great, as were the beef steaks, the chicken breasts, even the french fries and probably some other dishes I don't remember. Even the salads (a big disappointment in this trip) were pretty good.

As for the service, the first time we arrived late and there was a bit of an unpleasant atmosphere - I think there had been an argument among the staff just before - but it didn't seem typical of the place, and the second time the waitress was charming, although she didn't speak much English (only one waitress spoke good English so that may be a bit of an issue).

The desserts we had (including panacota which is almost always tasty), as I said, were pretty mediocre, but nobody is...

If you are tourists don’t go there. Waitress don’t want to speak English in purpose, her words: “in Italy speak Italian!”. I asked for napkins and she rudely said in Italian “toilet!” Got scared looks and bad service from the other employees as well. Food is bad, scary place, not clean. Very disappointing, will never go back. If you don’t like tourists you should not open a place that supposes to serve people, you should not open a restaurant who people suppose to come dine, celebrate their happy moments and relax. SHAME ON YOU!

A clear recommendation! Two or three streets behind the promenade, the restaurant is a great choice in terms of service! Not just friendly but also attentive. All the dishes, from Pepate di Cozze, Spaghetti alle Vongole, the fish soup with a dough top were perfect. The wine service was perfect... the house wines in a half-liter bottles with corks.

At lunchtime they also have additional dishes, especially the small plate with fish appetizer is worth mentioning.

Great atmosphere and nice conversations with the staff... all in all, absolutely top Restaurant! A clear recommendation and...
