I discovered this absolute gem in Piacenza a while ago.
The owner and staff are incredibly friendly and can serve you in Italian, Spanish or English.
There’s a reason it’s called “Il Panino Gourmet”, these are no ordinary sandwiches. Each and every sandwich has been designed to suit a specific, delicious flavour profile. Seriously, these paninos are really good - and there’s something for everybody.
The sandwiches are obviously made in house, and the bread is also brought in fresh. There are many types of bread to choose from: soft, crunchy, gluten-free, etc.
There are also local ingredients featured in some of the sandwiches, as well as some local and regional beers and wines.
I honestly don’t think anything beats it - it’s my favourite restaurant in Piacenza. Easily top 5 in the city. Must-try.
Thank you, owner and staff for your lovely shop and your wonderful...

The warm pork with the sweet apple and tangy mustard... I'm drooling...
