Locanda Nelli — Restaurant in Pietra Ligure

My wife and I had dinner here the first night visiting Pietra Ligure. We were both happily impressed by the welcoming staff and owners and the overa classy touch of the dishes, which were all very nice estetically. We had a pasta alle Vongole and a fish of the day. The fish is clearly fresh from the day and absolutely divine, presented with a delicate zucchini cream I personally. Never tastes anything so nicely cooked. Definitely some talents is going on in the kitchen. The price is fair with the other restaurant around. For 2 mains, 2 sides and 2 coffees we spent 55 euro. This included a pretty plate of homemade bread and taralli that is served at the beginning. Forgot to mention, all dishes came very quickly with just right waiting. We went here for lunch because the place is always busy and with great reviews. Unfortunately, our experience was not the same, as we have seen that the service is not very attentive with a rude staff including the owner. Fair food. Pasta Carbonara, with a good aroma, is served mildly hot, but nothing great. Pasta with Casio e Pepe, always served lightly hot, but nothing exceptional. Half burnt potatoes. Disappointing experience. After traveling all over the Italy you just do not expect something such low level from Michelin guide - restaurant. We tried 4 dish and each of it was not tasty at all: octopus, pasta, main dish - fish. Fried squids was okay, but you just could not make a bad fried squids.
