Osteria Oride — Restaurant in Pietra Ligure

Having pre booked a table for three. We arrived on time. On arrival we were neither greeted or welcomed. Speaking Italian to the waitress we asked if it was possible to sit outside? She referred me to the owner who very rudely said “no we have to follow the rules here in Italy”. I thought ok it probably was the rule on a small street. The waitress then showed us to our table which was in the back of the restaurant. I would describe the room as more of a narrow corridor rather then I room. There was already a large group there eating and we could hardly move to our table. Once seated it was evident that they had packed in the tables rather then think about customer comfort. In was hot and sticky, certainly not where you would want to eat. I made a decision to leave and when we told the owner she seemed not bothered. Definitely not the way to welcome guests. Osteria che non è un osteria ma che si atteggia a ristorante stellato con piatti sconclusionati che vogliono sembrare rivisitati, con un servizio anch'esso decisamente sconclusionato. Risposta all Sua risposta. Confermo che il mio commento non è riferito ai prezzi, ma al trattamento riservato, oltre che anche a piatti costruiti in modo lontano da come me li aspettavo sia io che gli ospiti del tavolo. Una delle note per me negative è come avevo spiegato al Suo collaboratore la mancanza di un "vino della casa", vino semplicemente che mi piace bere in allegria ed in accompagnamento al pasto senza doversi applicare a riconoscere profumi ed aromi per una cena conviviale e senza impegni per il cervello. Prodotto che comunque avevate ma che vi siete rifiutati di servire dicendo che quel vino è riservato al menù operaio del pranzo! Commento per me classista offensivo e denigratorio, non so se nei confronti del tavolo o degli operai. Alla comunque cortese richiesta del tavolo di portarci eccezionalmente un vino da pasto nessuna risposta se non quella di portare via i bicchieri da vino, "tanto non vi servono" per poi venire successivamente a dire che ci erano stati proposti degli altri vini più economici. Altro insulto e cmq nessuna proposta in tal senso è arrivata e Lei lo sa benissimo! Niente vino in brocca ,ma acqua, quella si, in caraffa! Ma quello che mi fa impazzire è che un ristorante che ha un prodotto che il cliente chiede nonostante lo abbia non lo porta al cliente! Da qui il servizio sconclusionato! Sui piatti è mio personale gusto, sul ristorante pseudo stellato è per le proposte molto lontane dalla cucina da tipica osteria alla buona(come dovrebbe essere un osteria) con piatti rivisitati da studio e ricerca Se le critiche vengono per migliorare ne sono...

Its a very nice restaurant with delicious food, in a wonderful locatin, friendly service and good wine. They were very friendly and offered support. I had a soufflé which was amazing. My bodyfriend has a gluten allergy therefore I asked in advance if they offer gluten free dishes. Most of the meals were with pasta but they offered to buy gluten free pasta.
