L'OSTEria — Restaurant in Piombino

Our expectations for L'OSTEria were fairly high, because it's virtually the highest-rated place in Piombino, and it fulfilled these expectations! Why is it 4 and not 5 stars then? Taglioni with oysters was really good, but not outstandingly. The prices were also high, but come on, it's Tuscany, so don't expect them to be low. Also, if you compare the service to a nearby 57025 Bistrot... the waiter was very charming and nice, but the whole restaurant experience was not so incredibly great. Nevertheless, I highly recommend...

Very nice and small restaurant... the appetizer was fresh tuna tartare.. and had a good fresh taste.... however the orange was a bit strong so the tuna flavour was not really there... the main course was a very tasty baked fish...together with s house wine it was great .. as dessert a warm chocolate cake... this might have been home made but not really sure. Recensione a Caldo appena uscito dall' Osteria. Allora se fossi un Milanese inbruttito o peggio ancora un Bergamasco incazzoso magari tifoso di calcio.. probabilmente non farei questa recensione od avrei tolto una stella.... Ma siccome sono un Bergamasco normale e comprensivo del lavoro altrui, scrivo che, ne è valsa davvero la pena aver aspettato sino alle 22 il tavolo prenotato per le 21.30... Il locale è in una vietta vicino al centro ma appartata dalla via centrale. Se non sai che esiste o non guardi le recensioni non lo trovi. Che posso dire e' la seconda volta in questa settimana che vedo Armida mangiare con gusto ed esprimere viva soddisfazione. Pietanze eccellenti personale simpatico e informale. Complimenti vivissimi alla cucina. La mia tartare di chianina su fonduta di formaggio con scaglie di tartufo... sublime... i ravioli ripieni di formaggio ed erbette(ma potrei sbagliare erba) al ragù di salsiccia e scaglie di tartufo, strabuoni( lo so termine giovanile... , ma mai così azzeccato).
