Pizzeria Bar Roma — Restaurant in Piombino

It was our second time that we decided to eat out at this place (a family 5). The manager wanted to seat us outside because everything inside was already booked - even though the entire place was empty. We really wanted a table inside because of the car noise outside. He said that he can seat us inside from around 7:00-8:30. We agreed to the terms as we only wanted to quickly eat dinner and leave afterwards. We waited for our waitress for about 10-15 minutes. After she received our order, she asked whether we wanted any beverages at all; we thanked her saying that we do not need anything to drink. Then, after she walked away, the manager showed up at the table in the nick of time saying that we cannot remain on the premises as the entire place is booked (again, after initially inviting us in and having the waitress take our order!). All the sudden, every table outside was allegedly booked as well. So, at about 7:20, we were asked to leave and so we did. My only assumption can be that they wanted to make money off of drinks and not serve us food that we wanted to try. It was a horrible experience and I would never recommended this place to anyone - the worst service we have had visiting Piombino in Tuscany. If there were an option to give 0 stars, I would...

Una delle pizze più buone che io abbia mai assaggiato, particolare e diversa da tutte le altre. Se dovessi trovare una critica nella loro pizza è che spesso risulta eccessivamente unta e oleosa, ma è ciò che alla fine le rende così gustose al palato. Buono anche l'antipasto, di mare o di terra, forse i prezzi sono leggermente eccessivi. Esteticamente il locale è carino, ma a mio parere sarebbe da ristrutturare e rinnovare, risulta un po' vecchio e angusto, sarebbe ottimo se l'atmosfera potesse diventare un po' più giovanile. Camerieri, anche se presi per la sola stagione estiva, simpatici e disponibili per qualsiasi informazione.
