Read before you eat there

We were on our way to Elba island, we needed to eat something after a long drive and we got there at noon (14:00~). Most other places (probably the good ones) were closed till 17:00 so we had to settle for this place.

We ordered 2 pasta with Arrabiata sauce and Caprese salad.

When we got to the island both my wife and I suffered a bad food poisoning, my wife needed to get fluids in the hospital at Portoferraio. The hospital staff told us it's either the tomatoes or the Arrabiata sauce.

Abbiamo preso la pizza ai frutti di mare nel complesso piuttosto buona di gusto, ma purtroppo la pasta era un pò cruda, i pezzettini di polpo erano un pochino duri, le cozze avevano la paglietta, e le vongole erano della qualità "lupini" non erano vongole veraci, molte erano chiuse e le altre erano praticamente quasi vuote. Mi dispiace dare questo giudizio che senz'altro non sarà gradito ai gestori del locale, mi rendo conto di quanto deve essere difficile fare "ristorazione" nel dopo lockdown, con le tasse alle stelle e le materie prime e le bollette di luce e gas triplicate. Il giudizio vuole essere una costruttiva esortazione per un miglioramento, non è una critica fine a se stessa. Avevo già mangiato in questo locale nell'estate del 2021 e mi ero trovato molto meglio, purtroppo quest'anno ho mangiato peggio dell'anno scorso, magari avrei pagato la pizza anche il doppio ma con ingredienti di maggiore qualità. Non me ne vogliano i gestori, ripeto, questa vuole essere una critica costruttiva perché so bene quanto è difficile la situazione economica del momento. Anche il dolce sebbene buonissimo (ho preso la crema catalana) era davvero troppo scarso in quantità, ce n'era pochissimo sarà stato al massimo in altezza un centimetro...
