Ir Tegame — Restaurant in Pisa

I ate at Ir Tegame two times during my visit to Calambrone. The first time I ordered the normal carbonara, the second time I ordered gnocchi with sea bream. I can't say that I was that impressed with the food overall, the carbonara was mediocre with grainy sauce and too little guanciale. When I got the gnocchi I expected a fish dish, but instead there were bits of octopus in the sauce. I asked the waitress about the octopus, but she just said it was fish and then left. I was disappointed with the treatment from the waitress when my dish obviously contained octopus and not fish and I felt a bit gaslit. I don't like octopus in general and I can't say that this dish changed my mind. Overall the sauce and the gnocchi was fine but...

The food is just great but let's face it - if you like Italian food then many restaurants serve great food. So for food i could give even 5 stars. Unfortunately all other things went wrong. 3 stale breadcrumbs as "coperto" (for 3 persons) is a joke... a bit expensive joke as it's counted 3 times. If you want a half-portion you can get it of course... for full price (you will notice that on bill). I was waiting 40 mins for second ordered dish and it was cold and dried. Ah... and please remember - if you want to order 2 sets ("giro") for 3 persons... well - "it's no possible" at least according to very impolite waitress. There is too much good food around to wast your time in...

Abbiamo provato questo ristorante ordinando un “giro pasta” da 4 portate, ma purtroppo l’esperienza è stata davvero pessima.

La prima portata, tagliatelle ai funghi, ci ha subito lasciato perplessi: ricordavano in tutto e per tutto quelle già pronte del supermercato, immerse in una salsina poco definita e senza alcun sapore particolare. La seconda, ravioli neri con bisque di gamberi, è stata addirittura peggio: ci siamo fidati del nome del piatto pensando di trovare un ripieno ai gamberi, invece era merluzzo. Un dettaglio gravissimo, perché chi come me ha allergie alimentari rischia seriamente la salute.

Le ultime due portate previste, spaghetti alle vongole e ravioli al ragù di mucco pisano, non sono mai arrivate. Dopo più di un’ora di attesa, con la fame ormai passata e senza alcuna comunicazione chiara dal personale, abbiamo deciso di alzarci e andarcene.

Solo al momento del conto ci è stato detto, con estrema leggerezza, che avevano avuto dei problemi con le prenotazioni e che i tempi si erano allungati. Nessun avviso prima, nessuna scusa sincera, e soprattutto nessuna attenzione verso il cliente. Nonostante i disservizi, ci hanno fatto pagare per intero senza alcun gesto di cortesia o riduzione.

In conclusione, un’esperienza deludente e poco professionale. Tra piatti mediocri, errori gravi sugli ingredienti e attese infinite, non torneremo e lo sconsigliamo a chi cerca...
