My partner and I visited here recently. The outdoor seating area looked pretty and was conveniently close to our hotel. Service was very slow and the two waiting staff were inattentive to the needs of the clientele. They may have been short staffed but they continued to accommodate new customers when clearly they were incapable of providing an acceptable service. I noticed that the waiter spent time sitting at a table with some diners while the waitress did all of the work with an increasingly angry look on her face. As for the food, my first course of gnocchi with pesto was pleasant. The second course of pork shin served with potatoes and salad was well cooked but need a sauce or 'wet' accompaniment as overall was somewhat dry. My partners overall opinion of his meal was that it was not of the standard he would have expected from an Italian restaurant. We were not offered dessert or coffee. We had to order our wine twice before it eventually arrived. Sadly I would not recommend this restaurant at all for either the standard of the food or...
Read moreAbsolutely amazing. We had tried few places in Pisa, but this one won our hearts. The service was extremely friendly for a large group of 7 people we were seated with no issues and our orders were taken in just the right time. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, nobody laughed at our terrible Italian pronunciation. We came back over and over again, as the food was tasty and allowed us to actually enjoy our time. No rushing, no dirty looks. Even on Ferrogosto, the owner assured us we can sit and talk however long we want. Prices are reasonable, especially given the location. The location itself, great, as not on the main tourist route, but still close enough for a evening stroll around the cathedral and the tower. Plenty of locals eating out there. If you're lucky you can be in for a treat of a guitar playing in the background. I can honestly say that this place make us feel special on our hot Italian holiday. We will definitely be back if we go to Pisa again....
Read moreWe were met with an attitude that vas not nice. We asked for a table indoors, all dough it was really warm outside. We wantet a meal away from smokers, and they did not seem to understand that.
One of the staff looked like he had just been pulled of the street and put to work, with big holes in his jeans. They were mimicking guest, obviously irritated by what the guests asked for. They have obviously forgotten who's paying their salary..... The chef was sitting in the corner of the restaurant like he was waiting for a better life, he waited around 5 minutes frome he got our order till he went to the kitchen. In between he was scrolling YouTube or something like that, loudly.
The food was ok. The lasagne we ordered looked like it was made hours ago and tossed into the oven to be grilled half burned. The pasta was better, but you should be really bad to screw up a pasta carbonara.
Overall, I would never recommend this place to...
