Frà Crudi & Cotti — Restaurant in Polignano a Mare

We had an overall okay meal, and while raw fish typically comes at a premium (I’ve eaten it all over Italy), the menu prices seemed reasonable at first glance. However, we were unpleasantly surprised when the owner recommended the fish of the day—something we assumed would be in line with the rest of the menu. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. When the bill arrived, we saw a shocking €130 added for two dishes not listed on the menu. We saw the table next to us have a similar situation as well.

This felt misleading and left a bitter taste at the end of the evening. Especially since I was dining with Italians who were equally surprised and upset by the pricing. It really took away from what could have been a nice evening.

If you do decide to dine here, I strongly recommend sticking strictly to the items listed on the menu. Also, the oysters were unfortunately bland and not worth the price. Disappointing...

This little gem, nestled near the historic center of Polignano a Mare, is an absolute must-visit for seafood lovers. We were searching for high-quality seafood, and this place exceeded our expectations. The raw red prawns and Gillardeau oysters were incredibly fresh, the octopus was perfectly prepared, and the Michelin-worthy fried seafood plate was simply outstanding.

Abbiamo avuto la sventura di capitare in questo locale… un antipasto con tartare di salmone esigua in quantità ed a pezzettoni poco graditi… un primo di cavatelli con frutti di mare servito con pasta scotta, totalmente insapore e totani duri e crudi… Chiesto un calice di bianco che non è stato servito freddo e soprattutto non era un calice ma un dito di vino in assaggio… il gestore ha lamentato che non abbiamo riconsegnato il primo non gradito ma dimentica che le persone educate non buttano il cibo mandandolo indietro… peraltro le risposte date sono state fuori luogo e scortesi… invito il gestore a leggere le recensioni che non ha mai letto visto che afferma che nessuno si è mai lamentato…. non lo consiglierei a nessuno….

Solo per correttezza le aggiungo, vista la sua risposta copia e incolla, che il tavolo non era stato assegnato quindi non abbiamo cambiato alcun tavolo, ci siamo solo messe sedute dove c’era più aria la vista del mare non c’era né dall’una né dall’altra parte, ma non mi sembra nessuno abbia nominato quest’aspetto Per quanto riguarda il primo piatto le ribadisco che era assolutamente insapore e che non è mia abitudine far cambiare la portata consegnata, questo però non vuol dire che non si possa rappresentare un problema, in quanto se analizzato può migliorare il servizio.
