Unlike the Monopoli beaches that are fine sand, this is a pebble beach. It is way more crowded and the water quality is not as good as the Monopoli ones. (That is not to say it is bad) What makes Lama Monachile special is the cave tunnel that connects the beach to an open cave that lets you directly drop into the water. It offers stunning views of the mare. Most people come to the cave to take selfies and Instagram photos, rather than swimming.
