La Caletta — Restaurant in Porto Azzurro

Like many locations with amazing views, this place was a bit underwhelming. Watching the sunset was spectacular over the port, but the servers were not very nice here, and the food unfortunately didn't give them any bonus points. I was sitting as close as I could to the table and the server threw a minor tantrum that she couldn't get by me to hand others their plates. It was a bit dramatic, and I certainly don't take up much space and then she commenced grumbling with another server, and making jokes. We weren't rude, and tried to be accomodating to her, asked if she wanted us to move the table. That's more of the restaurant's logistical issue, and the onus is not on us to bear the mood swings of staff. It was just unnecessarily unprofessional, and we didn't feel respected as guests.

Locale molto bello, personale gentilissimo, educato e preciso. Arriviamo in questo locale arroccato su una scogliera, arredamento ricercato e musica "ambient". Veniamo accolti da parte del personale gentilissimo, che ci accompagna al tavolo prenotato. Tutto molto bello e pulito. Ma qui finiscono le cose belle. Siamo nella classica situazione in cui un locale si basa sulla posizione e sull'apparenza piuttosto che sul farti mangiare bene. Menù... Quando sul menù inzio a leggere i paroloni e i pomodori diventano "ciliegini" o "San Marzano" e la mozzarella "fiord di latte", mi immagino già piatti enormi pieni di schizzi di guarnizione ma probabilmente scarni di contenuti... Quindi, onde evitare, mi butto sulla pizza e faccio bene (benino). Nell'attesa ci viene offerto un "entrée", non ben definito, una ciotolina con una pappetta gialla acida con un pomodorino tagliato al centro, ok i gusti sono personali, ma a noi ha schifato. La pizza non era male, ma da una boscaiola da 14€ mi sarei aspettato qualcosa di meglio di 3 fungi da barattolo sott'olio... La mia compagna, invece, ha provato l'ebrezza della cucina... ordinando una "darne di spigola" (si torna ai paroloni perché "fetta" o "trancio" non faceva FASHION)...arriva un piatto enorme con un quadratino di 6x6 cm di pesce, poteva essere spigola ma anche nasello, un tortino di patate minuscolo, una strisciata di VELLUTATA di zucchine e 10 grammi di carote Julienne fritte. Ecco... Lei è una che mangia veramente poco, tanto che di una portata al ristorante mi trovo spesso a finirla io, anche per metà. A questo giro, mi ha chiesto con gli occhi dolci se la portavo a mangiare un dolcetto da un'altra parte... Si da un'altra parte perché visti i prezzi volevamo evitare di vedere un'altro costoso enorme piatto semivuoto. Risultato? 41€ (e hanno voluto anche 1€) per una pizza nella media, un piatto di pesce quasi senza pesce e un litro di naturale.... Saluti! Ah, PS. 3€ di coperto...

Just had a lovely meal in the beautiful restaurant La caletta. lovely people , nice view and good food. We had to wait a very long time for our food, it turned out that a mistake had been made. The super friendly waiter came to apologize.. when we wanted to pay he said that everything was from the house, we thought it was unbelievable!
