If you're anywhere near Pozzallo and not eating at Tonno Rosso, you're doing Sicily wrong.

Nestled in a beautifully restored, traditional Sicilian home - think high ceilings, elegant charm, and the kind of place where you half-expect a Coppola film to break out - Tonno Rosso is la dolce vita brought to the plate.

We started with the “tris of tartare”, a visually stunning and exquisitely balanced trio of seafood and fish tartares paired with fresh fruits and subtle sauces. Every bite was art. Fresh, creative, and flavorful.

Then came the Angus tartare with truffle ("tartare di terra") - rich, indulgent, and elevated by the earthy depth of truffle. It’s the kind of dish that makes you close your eyes in appreciation.

The fritto misto? Golden. Crisp. Non-greasy. Every bite had that satisfying crunch and ocean-fresh flavor that makes fried seafood worth the splurge.

We also shared some oysters: fresh and briny, served simply with lemon, just as nature (and Sicily) intended.

To wash it all down: a sparkling white Nero d’Avola, which was unusual, intriguing, and the perfect pairing, light, aromatic, and playful on the palate.

The service? Warm, attentive, and genuinely proud of what they serve, and rightly so. This is not just a restaurant; it’s a culinary love letter to Sicily.

What a lovely place! You walk into this nice, cozy place located just off Main Street and the beautiful Pozzallo Square and you quickly know you walked into a special place. The staff greets you and makes you feel right at home and even the Owner and Chef, Andrea, comes out of the kitchen to say hi and display the fish of the day. If you have yet not understood, this is one, if not the best seafood restaurant in Pozzallo! If you like fish, you must try this restaurant! Cozy place, fresh fish, good wines and great service. Staff speaks fairly good English. I recommend the Seafood...

We had two dinners here, mostly to enjoy the service and company of Salvatore. Its a lovely, beautifully decorated restaurant with good food and great selection. Special thanks to Salvatore for his kind hospitality and birthday candle. :) It was a real pleasure for us, we happily drove 45 mins to eat at this restaurant and enjoy Salvatores...
