Ristorante 20.21 — Restaurant in Pozzallo

Went on a hunch and on present reviews. The pictures posted previously shows a great presentation with the meals, generally indicative of a Chef who is passionate about the meals cooked. Boy was I right, the tuna tartare was made without nuts, as requested without issue due to a diverticulitis issue. The cod fish, or baccala as we call it, was made with a sauce that compliments and distorts the common perception of the cod fish taste, great choice. After for the main course, we ordered the Seppia dinner(depicted), if you are into this, and yes it’s actual seppia sauce not black pasta(in heaven) and pasta with octopus that is made with a potato sauce, delicious. Overall great experience, portions are well balanced and wine was spectacular. Lastly, Orazio was an excellent waiter as well, hopefully you get to receive his charm and local gratitude. I was really impressed to find this gem in Pozzallo. The Squid Tagliatelle was really fantastic and a perfect start. As first course I had the Tagliolini with squid ink and burrata and red shrimp which was perfectly prepared and just delicious. Followed by Sliced Tuna with pumpkin cream and sweet and sour onion which was equally good. I’ve closed with a mandarin sorbet as a perfect close. I was joined by my wife who was equally impressed with her food selection. We drank a Laudari Baglio del Cristo di Campobello. We paid 160 Euros for 3 courses for each of us, plus one dessert, wine, two bottles of water and 2 espressi. I think that is more than a fair price. My only recommendation would be to change the music from experimental jazz to something more smooth. I don’t know why this restaurant is not fully...

🇮🇹Il posto non è male, vista sul mare e atmosfera romantica. Tuttavia la cucina, seppur di buona qualità, offre porzioni insufficienti se consideriamo che i prezzi sono molto alti. Ottime le decorazioni dei piatti ma sembrano piuttosto un trucco per mascherare le mini porzioni di pesce. Da un posto così ci si aspetta sicuramente di meglio.

🇬🇧The place is not bad, sea view and romantic atmosphere. However, the cuisine, although of good quality, offers insufficient portions if we consider that the prices are very high. The decorations on the dishes are excellent but they seem more like a trick to disguise the mini portions of fish. We definitely expect better from a place like this.

🇩🇪De plaats is niet slecht, uitzicht op zee en romantische sfeer. De keuken, hoewel van goede kwaliteit, biedt echter onvoldoende porties als we bedenken dat de prijzen erg hoog zijn. De versieringen op de borden zijn uitstekend, maar het lijkt meer op een truc om de miniporties vis te verhullen. We verwachten absoluut beter van een plek als deze.

🇪🇦El lugar no está mal, vista al mar y ambiente romántico. Sin embargo, la cocina, aunque de buena calidad, ofrece raciones insuficientes si tenemos en cuenta que los precios son muy elevados. La decoración de los platos es excelente pero parece más bien un truco para disimular las mini raciones de pescado. Definitivamente esperamos algo mejor de un lugar como este.

Les décorations sur les plats sont excellentes mais elles ressemblent plutôt à une astuce pour dissimuler les mini portions de poisson. Nous attendons certainement mieux d’un endroit...
