Ristorante Falterona — Restaurant in Pratovecchio Stia

My partner and I had looked up restaurants to go in Stia as we are staying in Via Roma 33. We arrived around 8pm on a Wednesday evening. We could only see one person in eating, but it looked lovely inside so we gave it a shot and my was it worth it!

I had the beef with celeriac, shallot and truffle puree with a side if green beans.

My partner had a tagliatelle in a ragu with a side of roasted chipped potatoes. Both dishes were beautiful with particular mention the beef dish. Truly exquisite, so light and bursting with flavour. We weren't going to have dessert but it was also delicious we decided to have a look!!!

I had the cannoli with hazelnut ice cream and a sort of bread like sponge in a chocolate soup of sorts. I have never tasted a combination like it. My fiancee has passionfruit sorbet. Stunning

We will be back before the holiday is over. Best meal we have had so far.

Wir haben dieses Restaurant besucht wegen der vielen guten Bewertungen. Aber Preis - Leistung hat uns nicht überzeugt. -Calamaro -Pici Ragu -Spaghettone Carbonara -Secreto Melanzane -Wasser -Poppiena Rosato

-Pici Ragu war gut. -Calamaro hat sehr gut geschmeckt. Jedoch war die Portionsgröße „sehr“ übersichtlich. Um den Teller zu füllen war noch geröstetes Brot zwischen dem Calamaro. Ich hätte mir anstatt Croûtons Calamaro gewünscht… -Sectero Melanzane e Cipolla war ok, geschmacklich gut aber selbst für meine Frau zu wenig… Die Carbonara war geronnen. Ich habe sie zurück gehen lassen. Die Servicekraft sagte mir, dass ihre Carbonara immer so sei und im Herd warm gehalten wird um bekömmlicher für den Gast zu sein !? Ich habe einen neuen Teller bekommen. Geschmacklich waren diese Nudeln völlig anders als der erste Teller. Die Soße war cremig, man hat den Guanciale geschmeckt und es war frischer schwarzer Pfeffer auf den Nudeln…

Außerdem kamen die Gerichte jeweils bei Primi & Secondi nicht gleichzeitig auf den Tisch. Wir mussten bei beiden Gängen ca. 5 Minuten warten bis bei uns beiden alles serviert war !?

Das Ambiente ist modern jedoch ist das Toiletten Parfum sehr aufdringlich. Das ist uns sehr unangenehm aufgefallen. Das ganze Lokal hat nach Toilette und nicht nach Essen gerochen.

Alles in allem muss man sagen, dass in einem hochpreisigen Restaurant so ein Fehler wie der mit der Carbonara nicht...

We walked in with no reservation and were quickly welcomed with a smile. The husband and wife team were amazing hosts and spoke very good English, to counter my poor Italian, and were great with their recommendations. The food was fantastic, and that's saying something in Italy where even normal food is great!
