Albatros — Restaurant in Procida

First time for me to leave a negative comment on Google maps..

Nice food. But we really feel being ripped off. It’s the first time that this happens to us in Procida. Me and my boyfriend asked for a red wine which is cheap, the waitress said there’s no this wine anymore and proposed us Processo. We accepted it with joy without asking for the price as the price on this small island is really affordable. And nothing like this has happened to us in Procida.

But the moment we paid, the tiny glass prosecco costed 8€ per glass. We didn’t expected it at all. This is not nice at all to do this. We understand that the server will might have extra money from it, but it is not correct to do this to people.

We trusted you but sadly you profited the trust that we gave you. Honestly I wanted to leave some tips to the waitress cause she was smiling all the time until the moment I saw the price of our prosecco...

Even one star feels like too much. We came in for a pizza, which was okay. Everything else about the experience was terrible. The service was shockingly bad. There were twice as many staff as customers, yet no one seemed interested in helping or even being friendly. Most of them were just walking around ignoring us.

The person we believe was the owner made it clear why the staff acted the way they did. He was rude and dismissive, setting a bad example for the whole place. As tourists we didn’t expect VIP treatment but some basic manners and a bit of effort would’ve been nice.

If you’re really hungry and just need food, the pizza might be enough. But if you care at all about service or atmosphere, don’t bother. Never...

We went here on our first day on Procida. It was not crowded and the waiters were very friendly. At the end of the evening there was an Italian birthday with quite some people in the restaurant which the waiters handled very efficiënt without losing an eye for the other people.

The menu options are plentiful and inexpensive. You can order half a carafe of wine for just €5.
