Ristorante La Medusa — Restaurant in Procida

I highly recommend this restaurant! Delicious fresh food, perfect wines and fantastic service - so rare. I visited this restaurant while we were waiting for the last ferry to Naples at 8 pm. The service was so nice that although they were almost all booked, they found us a table, they let us sit before the opening 15 minutes and they provided a very quick service, knowing that we only had 40 minutes to the ferry! The waiter was very nice and did everything to make us eat and try as many items from the menu as possible. We got the bill so quickly and at the end we got delicious limoncello. Amazing place and amazing service - the best I have experienced in my life. Other restaurants should exemplify how great customer care can be. And the food - the food was amazing, I’ve never eaten so good octopus and tuna tartare...

I did not enjoy my lunch there at all. First of all, it’s super expensive for the quality of food they offer. The fried codfish is €14??? Are you kidding me? It’s not any special from any other place. On the contrary, other places would have it much better for fraction of that price l. I was also recommended to get the grilled seafood. Nothing about it is grilled but disgusting mussels that was super salty and not clean at all. They should change the label of that dish to soaked mussels. On top of that, they charge you €3 for the table & €2 for what tasted like Tap water. Isn’t it already enough that you charge hefty price for the food? Then, you get flies from everywhere landing on your food. Pure disgusting!! (Not the restaurant’s fault) but I honestly wish I never walked in....

We felt that this restaurant deserves 4/5 since the quality of the flavors could be improved. While Le Medusa offers high quality ingredients, the umami of them could be strengthened. I took the prawn and zucchini pasta which could have for instance used more citrus flavors to uplift the prawns. My partner took the tomato ravioli dish which felt quite one dimensional in flavor. Since you pay more than the average pasta (in Naples) we felt that the price could offer slightly more care to such details. The service however was phenomenal as they were attentive...
