Fammivento — Restaurant in Procida

I only just realised that my original review was taken down two years ago. I am writing it again because people need to know how racist this place is.

I had a terrible experience, during a trip to Procida. I come from the UK.

I saw the restaurant had a dish I’d been keen to try.

When I asked to be seated, I was rudely told by the male waiter that they were all full. I then asked his female colleague about a table and she said she would check with him.

She went inside to check and then they both came back out and said nothing to me, both avoided my eye contact. He then proceeded to politely turn away the White couple that arrived after me. They were equally confused, due to the many empty tables.

I walked away from the restaurant briefly and then walked back. The male waiter had called the White couple back and seated them after I had left - he’d only turned them away previously, because I had been listening.

There were still many free tables, so I asked again if I could be seated. He barked “no!” at me. I believe he wouldn’t seat me, because I am Black.

This was a terrible experience and I will be telling everybody I know about this restaurant.

I did ring them after being seated elsewhere, to ask why they turn away Black people. They simply hung up the phone on me.

Venuto alle 23 di sera ai primi di Agosto e non riuscendo a spedire la recensione la mando oggi , in questo ristorante portato dagli amici di Monte di Procida ,essendo ospite e non essendo mai venuto all'isola di Procida dopo aver effettuato giro in barca attorno l'isola veniamo a cena in questo ristorante in una piazza o corso di Procida, la serata è molto calda,mangiamo al esterno del locale. Un ambiente un po spartano anni 50 ,il capo camerieri che seguiva I clienti un giovane intraprendente ci illustra I piatti e abbinamenti data l'ora tarda ,ordino un antipasto locale di mare misto molto buono invitante e dei paccheri al tonno devo dire ottimi molto gustosi,bevuto del buon vino locale. Il servizio abbastanza veloce il locale e I tavoli erano quasi pieni di ospiti data l'ora. Devo dire che o apprezzato quello che ci era stato consigliato per la cena molto serio il capo camerieri mi complimento con lui. Locale non per persone esigenti molto sempliceanche nei servizi interni, però devo dire si mangia bene e di qualità con pesce fresco,prezzo molto buono,locale con ottima cantina di vini. Leider ist dieses Restaurant überhaupt nicht zu empfehlen. Zunächst schien der Service überfordert und unkoordiniert, sodass wir sehr lange auf die Tätigung der Bestellung warten mussten. Bei gutem Essen wäre dies jedoch eine Sache, über die wir hinweg sehen würden. Dies war leider nicht der Fall, denn das Essen war durchweg schlecht. Die Vorspeise war von fett durchtränkt. Meine calamari in der Hauptspeise waren zäh und die Teigtaschen meiner Frau waren nicht durch. Von dem durch fett getränkten labbeligen Pommes ganz zu schweigen. Nachdem wir das Personal drauf aufmerksam gemacht haben kam weder eine Entschuldigung, noch der Impuls die Situation aufzulösen. Stattdessen erreichte uns eine große Rechnung mit einer inkludierten Service Gebühr von 15 %. Das Preis leistungsverhältnis in diesem Restaurant stimmt überhaupt nicht, viel mehr erscheint mir dieses Lokal als Touristen abzocke, wo jegliches Gefühl und Leidenschaft für gutes Essen fehlt.
