From start to finish, this meal was unforgettable. We began with the seafood sampler, and it set the tone immediately. Every bite was incredibly fresh, perfectly balanced, and bursting with flavor. Then came the ricci pasta, which was truly extraordinary. The depth of flavor and the aroma of the sea urchin were powerful, almost intoxicating. So rich, so aromatic, it was invigorating with every bite.

The vongole followed, and it was nothing short of perfection. I loved how the dish was thoughtfully prepared without the hassle of shells. Just pure, tender clams infused with the briny freshness of the sea. The parsley added an intensity that lifted the whole dish, and the pasta was cooked exactly al dente. It was elegant, flavorful, and deeply satisfying.

This restaurant doesn’t just serve food, it delivers an experience. Freshness, passion, and mastery come through in every plate. If I could give them 10 stars, I would. Truly excellent...

Locale nuovo, posizionato un paio di traverse su rispetto al corso Garibaldi di Reggio Calabria, si presenta in stile moderno e raffinato ed è inoltre dotato di una piccola piattaforma esterna.Ci accomodiamo e veniamo subito accolti calorosamente del titolare. Ordiniamo antipasti, primi e una bottiglia di vino, e dopo qualche minuto veniamo sorpresi dall’arrivo di qualche polpettina di pesce, di ottima fattura, come omaggio della casa. Successivamente è il turno degli antipasti, tutti apprezzati, in particolare le tartare la cui freschezza del pesce ha messo d’accordo tutti, ottima anche la presentazione estetica dei piatti, sintomo di una volontà precisa di abbinare qualità all’eleganza. Si passa poi ai primi, che hanno confermato le nostre aspettative, soprattuto col pacchero i cui ingredienti ci hanno regalato un piatto veramente interessante. Abbiamo infine ordinato due dessert da dividere. Il servizio è stato ben orchestrato, con anche il titolare che ha dato una mano alle sue colleghe, i tempi sono stati tutto sommato accettabili (Do 4 stelle a servizio e ambiente solo perché il locale è di recente apertura e può solo migliorare), ottimo il conto, molto competitivo alla luce di ciò che abbiamo ordinato. In conclusione, posso dire che questo ristorante è stata per noi una vera sorpresa, Da Gio Resturant è infatti una location ideale per chi vuole abbinare al giusto prezzo una cucina di qualità e raffinata in un contesto tranquillo ma comunque in pieno...

A lovely place, that would easily be a 9/10 or more outside of Southern Italy. It is very good, and we would recommend it.

Our meals were focused on local ingredients, various fish tartars, pasta and fish, which was quite nice and healthy.

We went during lunch so it was quiet and we cant judge dinner time.

Small tip: Ordering a cafe (espresso) shouldnt arrive in a paper cup if not ordered...
