This place scams non-Italian speaking customers by secretly changing the price on the receipt. We went today in the morning and ordered two pastry items (EUR 1.80 each, see the pics) and two coffee drinks. The drinks were ridiculously expensive (see the receipt in the pic), but I am not going to talk about that. At least they were honest about that! But instead of the pastry that we ordered, the receipt says we ordered "pasta" and it cost us EUR 2.20 each. Not a huge difference, but we were confused. So they sent 2 different servers to explain (and pretended that they didn't know English), and told me that it was a surcharge for "seat fee". What a ridiculous lie!! If it were indeed "seat fee", they could have charged a separate coperto like every restaurant does in Italy. But no, it is definitely no a coperto. A true coperto would never be embedded in the food price, and it would always be separate! They took advantage of non-Italian speaking tourists. When we confronted them, they lied shamelessly and call it "seat fee". We didn't want to make a scene, as we had other plans. But I called out their scam in their face. Afterwards, I scrolled back Google review, and it was obvious that they have been doing this, for years!! Please do not go. They are dishonest...
Read moreWe went for an afternoon walk in Rimini with my wife. As we were passing this café, I spontaneously suggested we stop and finally try the much-praised Italian coffee, since we had already been here for a few days without tasting it. The café looked cozy from the outside, the tables were clean, and it was half empty. We ordered coffee at the bar, picked it up, and were about to sit outside at one of the tables. Suddenly, a waiter rushed in and told us we couldn’t sit there, directing us instead to a corner table with an ashtray and a worn-out surface, even though we are not smokers. All the pleasant feeling and excitement of enjoying a good coffee disappeared instantly. The café was half empty. If you want to experience disrespect towards customers and the inflexibility of a place, you can drink your coffee there. But if you value yourself even a little – I DO NOT...
Read moreWe were in 4 in the evening towards 6pm. We ordered fresh drink, coffees and croissant. We waited on table near door outside. The thing is we were charged exactly double to what was written on their desk. A pomegranate juice which was written €2.90, was charged €6 when the staff came to assign bill. Every one thing, was charged double with extra service charge at the end. What a waste. I still don't understand what was the double for. Same day, 2 of us went for coffee in the morning, and they paid the normal price, then why double it in evening?😒 Absolutely never going back in this place and do not recommend it either. I get a sense of hatred every time I see it's name. A very strong sense of hatred. Never going or taking...
