I logged into my google account for this. We ended up here on a whim on our frist night in rome, almost left because it looked like just a café, but ended up chatting with the chef who described the whole menu to us in english as the menus are all in italian. It’s definitely a local gem tucked just outside of the main part of the city. We ended up coming 3 nights in a row and pretty much just got whatever he recommended. Bar, bistrot... certamente Barrito ha le caratteristiche giuste per entrambe le tipologie con un offerta di ristorazione di livello veramente alto, quasi con propensione da ristorante! Ambiente dalle dimensioni ridotte ma i soli 4 tavoli danno una senzazione veramente accogliente che riesce a risultare anche di riservatezza pur se in spazi molto prossimi. Una accoglienza e proprensione al cliente squisita. Grande professionalità in ogni parola o gesto del proprietario, dal calice di vino offerto al cliente che doveva attendere pochi minuti che si liberasse un tavolo, al caffè al pepe gentilmente servito in degustazione a fine cena, piuttosto che un variegato pacchettino di cornetti da portare con se come assaggio dei lieviti gustabili al banco del bar. Noi vi abbiamo cenato in occasione di S. Valentino. Musica evergreen di sottofondo e cena ottima. Abbiamo scelto il super antipasto di salumi e formaggi di Barrito, poi come primi pappardelle guanciale e favette e spaghetti con polpette, infine, dolci della casa veramente deliziosi.
