It's a cute museum café that is located in the Ostia Antica Archaeological Park. It's a perfect place to stop for a drink or snack when taking a break after a long walk.

There were pastries, desserts, sandwiches, and coffee during the morning hours. I believe they serve hot & cold lunch items as well. I saw a beer, wine, tea, soda, and water. We were there for cold drinks. I had the San Benedetto lemon tea while my husband purchased some still water. It was difficult to tell what was still and what was carbonated in the vending machines by the ticket office. It was nice to have a refreshing non-carbonated drink at the café.

Does this warrant 5 stars? Maybe not the purchase, but the ambiance & service was definitely worthy. The young lady at the counter was very sweet & helpful. She had to endure my very poor attempt in speaking her language. Haha! She asked if I wanted a glass. I declined, but then she offered a straw which I accepted. She really made me feel welcomed. She made me feel even more comfortable when asking, "How do you pronounce this in English." She was holding up the straw. She alone deserves the 5 stars.

Ristorante piacevolissimo e il cuoco, Giuliano, super disponibile! Io e mia moglie siamo appassionatissimi di arte e archeologia e abbiamo deciso di festeggiare il compleanno di nostro figlio di 4 anni organizzandoci con qualche parente per un pranzo a Ostia Antica, sito archeologico di cui siamo innamorati! Prenotando con un poco di preavviso è stato possibile organizzare tutto al meglio e Giuliano è stato estremamente paziente, propositivo e risolutivo dinnanzi alle mille questioni che si può immaginare emergono quando si organizza qualcosa con vari invitati.

Il pranzo è stato eccezionale! Qualità degli ingredienti: superba! Preparazione: superba!

Il personale del servizio ci ha anche preparato una mise en place elegante e totalmente inaspettata. Noi infatti abbiamo già mangiato a questo ristorante in precedenza in occasione di una delle aperture speciali organizzate nel Parco Archeologico di Ostia Antica, come la visita a aree solitamente chiuse, ove dovendo mangiare a un certo punto della giornata abbiamo sempre fatto riferimento a questo ristorante trovandoci benissimo, ma sebbene col cuoco avevamo parlato del menu non ci aspettavamo un’attenzione speciale anche per la mise en place. Lo staff invece ha voluto regalarci un’esperienza perfetta anche sotto questo aspetto!

Il ristorante è un ambiente sobrio ma molto elegante e lo spazio interno ha un design moderno è progettato con materiali che gli conferiscono grande e piacevole luminosità: si dice che anche l’occhio vuole la sua parte e questi dettagli decisamente non guastano!

Le persone invitate sono rimaste tutte contentissime. Non solo il ristorante è praticamente al centro del Parco Archeologico, ma è dietro al Museo che ha appena riaperto: abbiamo in questo modo potuto godere non solo dell’ottimo cibo preparato dal cuoco ma anche di una piacevole visita archeologica.

Worst coffee shop ever! The guy at the counter was extremely rude, acting like we were a bother despite the place being completely empty. The overpriced donut was stale and clearly had been sitting there for ages. Coffee was bland and mediocre at best and the chairs were dirty, adding to the overall gross vibe of this place. Complete disaster—unfriendly service, overpriced garbage food, and a lack of basic cleanliness. It ruined my morning, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. Save your money and go...
