OH, MY! As my husband and I travel the world, we look for, and try, pierogi. Until today, it being my very favorite childhood food/memory, I have always been a little disappointed in some way. NOT TODAY! The pierogi were homemade and just like in my mom’s kitchen! They were fabulous. We traveled for an hour to come to Dolce Pierozek, and it was well worth it.
We also tried the galupki - it was exactly as my mom used to make it, a taste I haven’t had in many years. We interacted with lovely Alina - both she and I were crying over a shared love of her wonderful food. She was moved to hear that it was just like my mom’s. She gave us some free zeppelini, which were delicious as well. She couldn’t do enough for us. (When it was time to pay, she at first undercharged us - we wouldn’t hear of it!)
We had lovely appetizers of a potato salad and very tasty pickles. We took some of everything home with us, including a great dessert that we found in the soft drink fridge - all homemade.
Words just can’t express how wonderful the food was. If you were brought up with pierogi and some of the other delights on the menu, you will find your appetite filled - overfilled - here. All made with love, it was an experience of the ❤️!! Thank you so much, Alina! You made our day - our trip to Roma was so much better for having met...

I pierogi dolci?
