Total Ripoff! They have signs that show these giant scoops all over the shop. Then they pull out a tiny measured scoop. Like golf ball sized scoops. I can go right up the street and get a bigger scoop for literally half the price. Plus the staff was very engaged with each other and not the customers so that’s a turn...

Gelateria storica di eccellente qualità

Da amante del gelato e cultore delle eccellenze della gastronomia (in senso ampio) italiana, trovo che questo esercizio sia il migliore a Roma. Oltre alle questioni affettive (sono cresciuto con i loro gelati), la qualità delle preparazioni è altissima e la resa al palato diventa un premio per chiunque voglia concedersi un gelato. L’aspetto più meritevole poi, è la capacità di non concedere nulla alle mode imperanti di chi più un meritevole artigiano è convinto di essere il maggior esponente di una scuola superiore di “gelatismo” e in possesso della verità assoluta: ogni volta ho un leggero mancamento di fronte a chi, davanti ad un cono, inizia ad agitare la paletta come un pennello e, per la sua composizione, segue pedissequamente le indicazioni della dirigenza della multinazionale che è divenuta proprietaria del marchio.
