La Taverna dei Briganti — Restaurant in Rome

We had such a wonderful experience at this lovely Italian restaurant! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming — you can really feel the care and passion behind everything they do.

The food was absolutely delicious — from start to finish. We especially loved the piglet (so tender and perfectly cooked!) and the panna cotta, which was one of the best we’ve ever had — silky, light, and full of flavour.

Every dish felt authentic and thoughtfully prepared, and the service was just as impressive — friendly, attentive, and genuinely caring.

Siamo passati davanti a questo locale per caso, mi sono segnato il nome e in un altro giorno, dovendo decidere dove andare a pranzare, mi sono tornati in mente. E' stato così che abbiamo provati La Taverna dei Briganti. Pochi tavoli esterni, molto carino l'interno, classico ambiente rustico. La cameriera è molto gentile ed efficiente. Dopo un breve antipastino di verdure grigliate, siamo passati a gnocchetti al mirto, spaghetti alle vongole, maialino con patate, concludendo con il dolce. La qualità è nella media, forse appena sopra, mancando per pochi dettagli l'eccellenza. Buono il maialino con patate, ma andava scaldato meglio, un po' meno sale nello spaghetto con le vongole, ben condite le fragole, ma la panna è da bomboletta (ormai sono sempre più ad andare per le spicce). Davvero buone le verdure grigliate. Al cambio di cliente, la stessa tovaglietta viene girata al contrario, una passata di mano per togliere le molliche.
