We arrived as guests and immediately noticed how lively and well-visited the restaurant was. During our short stay in Rome, we had dinner here on two evenings, and both times the experience was wonderful.

The food was absolutely delicious. You can feel that this place is run with true passion, heart, and dedication. The ingredients were fresh and regional, and for us as tourists, it was a very different experience compared to dining in the city center of Rome. This was authentic, traditional cuisine — not the typical tourist food you often find elsewhere.

There was a great variety of seafood, pasta, antipasti and shellfish to choose from, and we received excellent recommendations directly from the owner, who speak english, which made our meals even more special.

We would like to send our warm regards once again. We had a fantastic stay and will never forget the time we spent at Gennaro’s restaurant. Greetings,...

Not too bad but not excellent either. The fish pasta was nice but there was almost no fish in it. The roman specialities were OK but you can find the same stuff in much cheaper trattoria's. The owner was friendly, even a bit too much. The price was honest. Overall, I might go back one day.

I went back but I am not too happy with the experience. The owner was too busy and we were served by another lady and staff. They were a bit rude and it took ages to get served. I got grilled shrimps (5 of them for 22€) and grilled vegetables (literally 2 slices of courgette, 2 of aubergine, and one of pepper for 7€). The shrimps were nice but vegetables were tasteless.

Overall, I must take one star away and I don't think I'll go...

One of best hidden gems in Rome. Despite the fact that it is on the outskirts of Rome, however it is definitely worth visiting. If you don’t speak Italian, as for the owner which he is a very friendly, speaks good English and would provide excellent advice. We tried a Spaghetti Seafood (Fruta Di Mari) and it was excellent. We also tried a piece of Grilled Salmon which was of heavenly taste. Third dish we tried was Rezotto seafood, again excellent taste and all portions were very good. Atmospheres also was not less than that. In total the experience was excellent and it’s highly...

What a find! Situated in the suburbs of Rome this unassuming restaurant serves the best seafood. Service a bit disorganised by the staff but the owner, Gennaro, is friendly and welcoming and spoke good English! Menu all in Italian. We shared the octopus to start followed by the Grilled calamari with a side of caponata. Could not fault any of the food. Even the bread was very nice. The mystery remains of where the food is cooked, however, as the room downstairs looks like a construction site. Well worth the drive from Rome airport to have a meal there.

Grazie Gennaro. A presto vederci.
