Pizza da Michele — Restaurant in Rome

We came upon this place while we were exploring the ruins of Ostia Antica. It had good reviews so we figured we would check it out and it ended up being the best decision! The pizza was amazing and the price was exceptional. My friend and I each ordered a slice and started on our walk away. Upon both finishing our slice, we knew we had to go back for more! The owner was very kind to us and gave us a great deal to sample each of the pizzas he had made. Finding this place was a true gem as it ended up being a top place we ate on our entire trip traveling...

We stopped by for lunch after our visit to the Ostia Antica archaeological site, and we were blown away by how simple yet fresh and delicious Michele's thin crust pizza was! It was definitely one of the best pizza during our entire stay in Rome.

As mentioned by other reviewers, although the eatery has limited seating, there is a nice shaded green space with benches a few minutes away. The only downside would be having to smell the pizza and salivating...

Delicious pizza!!! Especially loved the base/crust and the sauce!! Super friendly people, speaks english, and even though they're a take away shop, they had 2 little tables for us to eat there (we were not staying close so couldn't take it home)! We were there for half hour, and saw SO so many locals come through to order pizza! Must try this if you're in the area! Great price too!!! €6...
