Ricci - Salumiere in Roma — Restaurant in Rome

We had a very good time in this Italian restaurant: the pizza that my girlfriend ordered was not only delicious but also very pretty, and the waiter who took care of us was particularly kind and professional.

On the other hand, a small surprise at the time of the bill: the cocktail "Ricci" without alcohol was charged 12 €, while it is displayed at 8 € on the card present on the restaurant’s website. The cashier?/owner? explained to us that the site card was no longer up to date and showed us another card on his phone (via a QR code) with the corrected price.

The restaurant nevertheless granted us a discount of 5 € for this error, which we appreciated. That said, it would really be necessary to update the site in order to display the correct map and avoid giving false information...

Spinta dalla curiosità e dalla novità del posto sono andata a prendere un tè domenicale con un'amica dalla Salumeria Ricci a viale Libia e l'esperienza non si ripeterà. Il locale è talmente chiassoso che si fa fatica a capire chi si ha di fronte al tavolo se non si legge il labiale. La mancanza di professionalità della personale è disarmante, chi ci ha portato le 2 teiere fumanti ci ha raccomandato di stare attente a non bruciarci perché lui non era pratico a servire e in pratica ci dovevamo scansare. Il lungo e promettente menu segnalava varietà di tè e infusi ma il cameriere dopo aver ravanato in una scatola dietro al bancone ci ha portato un tè e un infuso perché a suo dire era per lui più comodo bensì avessimo chiesto la scatola dei tè per sceglierlo noi. Alle spalle della mia amica dietro una vetrata a vista stava l'addetto alle pizze che a mani nude prive di guanti e senza cuffia per i capelli disponeva le pizze pronte sui vassoi, tra una grattata alle orecchie e un colpo di tosse parato con le mani. Il conto per 2 tè e 2 minuscoli cestini mignon bruciacchiati alla cioccolata è stato di 12 €. Segnalo che di fronte a Ricci sta la caffetteria di Marinari, rinomatissima pasticceria del quartiere, che serve al tavolo senza sovrapprezzo prodotti qualitativamente di gran lunga superiori a questi, come anche Matò che serve dalla colazione agli aperitivi senza sovrapprezzo e con personale super professionale...

We asked a jeweller close to the Pantheon where to eat and he said “only Ricci round here” so we went for lunch. Brilliant prosciutto melone but that’s easy. The pizza was the best we had in 10 days across Italy. So we had lunch again on our last day. Again the food was brilliant. Ciao Gino! ...
