Decided to come here as it was recommended by both my hotel and the guests that dined here as my hotel's restaurant was fully booked. My family and I walked here from our hotel (approx. 2 minutes) before they opened up and we waited and got a table. The menu has an English side at the back for English speaking patrons, however, please don't expect that your server will know English or what you said so please be patient and/or point to the menu item of your choice. We ordered the fried baby octopus, swordfish tartare, tomato soup, gnocchi with clams and mushrooms, fettuccine with meat sauce, spaghetti from gragnano with clams, tiramisu, chocolate gelato, lemon sorbet, and vanilla gelato. The food was phenomenal! The swordfish tartare went well with the balsamic vinegar and salt. It was flavorful and not as fishy as I thought it would be. The baby octopus was perfectly fried, not too chewy and was fresh. The tomato soup was very fulfilling and had a rich umami flavor from the tomatoes being roasted prior. The bread for the table would be good to dip in the soup, though if not ordering soup best to ask for olive oil to go with your bread! The pastas were al dente and homemade. The pasta dishes use fresh herbs. I know that as they have a large rosemary bush that we were seated next to. The desserts were heavenly and washed away the day's tiredness and troubles away. The tiramisu tasted refreshing from the cream and rich from the marscarpone cheese. The chocolate gelato was decadent and the lemon sorbet was refreshing though not overpowering so we kept going back for seconds. The vanilla gelato was light and not too sweet. I must give fair warning to other guests that dine outside in their patios. Though picturesque and perfect to bring a hot date in the summer, there are a lot of bugs and mosquitoes so expect the romantic vibe to be a bit off. That was the only major complaint with the experience as I was scratching and felt itchy throughout my stay. Overall, I would come here again to eat and try out the pizzas! However, I'd probably prefer to do it inside...

Located about 20 mins by taxi from the Prati district in Rome, a taxi will cost around €22 to get there from this part of the city. The frontage doesn't give away the size of this place which is of a significant size inside. Booking essential on a Saturday, as the tables are full, and being a place where locals eat, they tend to stay all evening so tables won't likely become free during the evening. The food is superb, I had a Grouper fish which has some kind of vinagerette, followed by probably the best Puttanesca pasta I've ever experienced. This was followed by a Sea bass (I think) with potato and Salad. All topped off with an amazing Titamisu. A great selection of wine to enjoy with your food. Service is great. The food is beautiful, and coupled with the classy and well appointed restaurant this is a real treat and if you can secure a table, will be memorable and one of the best places to eat in Rome. Prices offer great value for the quality of ingredients and service, so for a large group where an economy of scale is present through sharing dishes as Italians tend to enjoy, perhaps €45 per person with wine! This is amazing value. I guess for a couple dining prices would be more per head, but the experience and value are incredible. A wonderful place, with great staff and incredible food. Taxi's late at night are a problem as the place is on the outer edge of the city, but a small price to pay for such a fantastic place to enjoy the best of...

We went here for supper while staying at The Crowne Plaza-Rome-St. Peter. The restaurant was a very short walk from the Hotel. It was an amazing experience from the time we entered until we left. We were quickly seated in the dining area and queried regarding our preference of water. This was quickly filled and our menus received. The restaurant has quite an extensive menu with a large selection of Italian dishes. Our orders were taken and we were quickly given a plate of bread and oil and vinegar. While we were enjoying our bread and our beverages the waiter returned to apologize for the time taken to deliver our food, although we didn't find anything excessive about the wait. Shortly there after they delivered a white pizza with oil and basil. We originally turned it away because we hadn't ordered any. It turned out it was with the compliments of the house for the wait. Shortly there after our meals showed up and were delicious. To finish our meal off we ordered some limoncello. On completion of our meal we requested our bill. When we received it, it was much smaller that expected, and we discovered we hadn't been billed for the limoncello either. All and all it was an amazing dinner. We will certainly go back when we return this...
