Taverna Latina — Restaurant in Rome

Even tho the restaurant was quite empty, service was exceptionally slow. We waited for the menu, waited to order, waited for drinks, waited for food, waited for the bill, even collecting the bill took more than 10 minutes so we had to remind the staff. We probably reminded the staff 5 timed about the service.

We got white wine instead of red and changing it took so long we started eating. We didn't get cutlery. Glad they didn't charge for service since it was non-existent and un-interested. We saw the staff mix two different bottles of wine (!).

On a positive note the first glas of wine we got was the best we ever had. The food was also good, probably just...

We are from Germany and lived in the nearby Romoli Hotel. So we tried this restaurant, because the pictures of it on the Internet looked very promising. And we have not been disappointed! The design and atmosphere in the Taverna was really beautiful!

At the first visit we had bruschetta, fried vegetables and Pizza. At the second visit we had Risotto and a fish plate. Every single meal of it was delicious! The different wines, that were recommended to us by the waiter, had a great taste!

The waiters were also very kind and friendly to us.

We would definitely visit this...

By far the best restaurant we’ve been to in Rome. The service is great, the servers are so friendly and polite, always trying to help and explain everything. Food is awesome, especially for those prices. You won’t find that quality for those prices in the Centre of rome. There is sky television, so you can watch sports as well… (nice bonus)
