Vanacore - La bottega di Gragnano — Restaurant in Salerno

The Vanacore restaurant in Pompei was excellent! Our first night in Italy after a long day of traveling we stopped to eat in this restaurant. Angela and her assistant were so kind to us! Upon learning that we were weary travelers, Angela prepared a special little treat just for us. The pizza was excellent! Actually, it was the best pizza we had in our week in Italy and, probably, the best pizza we ever have had. We ate at several other restaurants in Pompei and none could compare with Angela's service and quality of food.The pizza parlors in the United States could learn a lot from Angela. The food and service were so good that we made certain to visit with Angela and eat at her restaurant on our final night in italy, as well. Each time, the pizza was the best! Though I speak limited Italian and Angela did not speak much English, we easily communicated through expressions and with the assistance of the Google translation app. I highly recommend Angela's restaurant whenever you might be in Pompei, Italy! Wonderful food at a very economical price combined with a lovely lady make for a fantastico...

Maybe the best pizza I have ever eaten. We ordered ( takeaway) Marinara, Margherita and the 3rd one I forgot its name, were very generous in ingredients. Beh che dire... Vanacore La Bottega Di Gragnano un nome una garanzia. La qualità, bontà, freschezza, genuinità è di casa in bottega. Potrete fare l'esperienza di provare un impasto unico e fragrante fatto con un mix di farine e cereali. Unico nel vero senso perchè è una loro creazione. Dal Cafoncello di Gragnano (loro pane tipico che potete acquistare al mattino bello caldo o prenotare e passare a ritirarlo quando desiderate) al panuozzo (che potete acquistare sia vuoto da farcire a casa o provare le loro farciture particolari) alla pizza... La pizza della bottega è un altra storia e i fratelli Vanacore vi stupiranno con un menù veramente vario, ricercato e particolare che si basa esclusivamente sui prodotti di stagione. I gusti delle pizze variano in base al periodo perché loro utilizzano solo prodotti di stagione. Ottimi i fritti artigianali e approvata alla grande anche la gastronomia a pranzo (fanno anche da asporto) grazie alle mani d'oro della signora Annarita chef della bottega e di Sandra che preparano tutto con cura.
