Maso Paratoni — Restaurant in Salten-Schlern - Salto-Sciliar

WOW this was one of the most special, personalised and memorable dining experiences we’ve ever had (and probably ever will have!) It was one of the highlights of our honeymoon and something we’ll remember forever 💖🥰

The experience of eating at a family farm and all ingredients grown there was so interesting and a great atmosphere.

The staff (family) - wow, they were just so incredible. Welcoming, attentive, passionate and we could tell how much effort they put into creating a special experience for their guests. They truly made the experience so special for us.

The food - incredible. My partner is vegetarian, so having most items be vegetarian, but still incredibly tasty, was great for us. All of the courses had so much flavour but were also presented beautifully and with so much care / attention to detail.

A few points to note - cash only, and also a bit hard to find, but follow the instructions for where to park your car and walk. We had some trouble finding it, but called and were helped. The food/experience was worth it! Also come hungry because there is A LOT of food and we were very full by the end.

Overall we had the best time here and definitely recommend for a unique/special experience 🥰...

Moe en voldaan lig ik bij het schrijven van dit bericht in bed. Ik blik terug op een zeer geslaagde avond bij dit familierestaurant. Pa kookt, zoon bedient, moeder heb ik niet gezien. En oja, de dochter bedient ook. En wat bedienen zij dan? En waarom doen zij dat? En hoe doen zij dat? Het stellen van goede vragen zou je verder brengen aldus Michael Mmet zijn zelfhulpboek waarvan de inhoud grotendeels gestolen is van echt zelfgebombardeerde goeroes. Meteen bij het aanschuiven viel de kerstversiering me op. De sfeer zat er goed in. We startte met een klein kopje home made glühwein. Niks mis mee. Daarna een volle kaasplank, alles huis gemaakt, van notenbrood tot anijsbrood, Sinaasappelkaas en wat iets meer zij. De blonde jongeman bracht ons nadien overheerlijke spinazieraviolie. De spinaziebladeren moeten blij zijn om zo te mogen eindigen. Ze zitten nu op een plaats waar de zon niet schijnt. Hoofd: aardappelflensjes met zuurkool. Na: ijs en chocoladecake. Daarna kwam de hoofdbediende met allerlei huisgebrouwen SCHNAPPS en we kozen de ene na de andere. Het was gezellig en we rekenden af waarna we ons op vrije voet begaven en de auto gingen terugzoeken die 500 m verderop in een boom was gehangen want parkeren is niet gemakkelijk bij dit uit 1232 na Chr. stammende eethuisje. Als dierenvriend heb ik de ober gevraagd of ik nog even bij de koeien mocht kijken en ja, dat mocht, en zo stond ik na het tafelen in de koeienstal alwaar de koe net ging ontlasten. Ik kon net op tijd aan de kant springen en juist dit element deed mijn avond helemaal slagen. Zo lief, die koeien. Maar ook de mensen van deze familie. Tot gauw weder!! Nu ga ik slapen maar eerst nog ff een uur rondhangen op...

This was one of the most special and authentic restaurant experiences I’ve ever had. The food was so fresh and locally sourced and clearly made with so much love and care. They serve a 5 course prix fixe tasting menu for just 52 euros a person and it’s definitely worth it. All the dishes are traditional of the region and are unlike anything I’ve tried before. The house is from the 13th century and along with the warm and friendly staff creates an atmosphere that is so charming and cozy, making you feel right at home. I highly recommend...
