Garni Hotel Belalp — Hotel in Salten-Schlern - Salto-Sciliar

Misleading, claustrophobic, and unacceptable. Avoid at all costs.

Our room felt like a cruel joke — the ceiling was absurdly low, to the point that standing upright was impossible and had to hunch over the entire time. It was like being stuffed into an attic crawl space for hobbits. This crucial detail was completely omitted from the Booking.com listing, a blatant oversight. When we brought it up with the owner, she casually explained that this is why the room is considered a “budget option.” So apparently, extreme discomfort and deception are part of the deal.

The noise isolation? Nonexistent. You hear everything — footsteps, voices, toilets flushing. The pillows were an insult to the concept of sleep: thin, lumpy, and totally inadequate. As for breakfast, you’d think eggs would be standard — but no, they cost an extra €5.50. For eggs.

This was not just disappointing — it was infuriating. If we book a “budget” room, we expect modesty, not misrepresentation and lies. This place plays games with expectations and hides behind fine print that doesn’t exist.

Shame on the owners, and shame on Booking for allowing such a listing. Don’t be fooled — you’ve been warned.

This place nickel-and-dimes you while delivering a subpar experience. Save your money and stay somewhere else that respects guests and provides honest descriptions.

Daniela is exceptionally lovely and professional host, she helped us with everything, replies very fast and knows a lot about the area.

The facilities of the hotel are perfect, the rooms and beds are comfortable and warm, it is also one of the cleanest hotels I ever been to, the room was cleaned every day! Free private parking with direct access to the ski room with boot warmers, from where you can take the lift up to your room which is perfect after a long day of skiing. But also the ski bus is right by the hotel.

The hotel also has SPA (paid extra but only 10eur per person) with sauna and cold shower and complimentary tea, great for recovery!

The breakfeast was de-li-cious!!! Great location, close to multiple towns and ski areas. Could not recommend more and would...

I stayed for 3 nights, and during my entire stay I truly enjoyed the beautiful view from the hotel, the relaxing atmosphere, the clean and comfortable bedding, and the delicious breakfast. Thanks to this, I was able to spend 4 wonderful days.

The owner was always kind whenever we met, and most importantly, the room condition was excellent. If I come back to Santa Cristina, I would definitely choose this hotel again without hesitation.

The hotel is conveniently located about 15–20 minutes on foot from the Col Raiser cable car, which goes towards Seceda. I was able to park my car at the hotel and explore freely on foot. After taking the Col Raiser cable car and doing a short hike, you can transfer to the Seggiovia Fermeda chairlift to reach the breathtaking views of Seceda. I highly recommend experiencing the round trip with the Seggiovia Fermeda chairlift – the panoramic scenery is truly stunning.

Ho soggiornato per 3 notti e durante tutta la mia permanenza ho apprezzato moltissimo la splendida vista dall’hotel, l’atmosfera rilassante, la biancheria pulita e confortevole e la colazione deliziosa. Grazie a tutto questo ho potuto trascorrere 4 giorni meravigliosi.

Il proprietario è sempre stato gentile ogni volta che ci siamo incontrati e, cosa più importante, la camera era in condizioni eccellenti. Se tornerò a Santa Cristina, sceglierò sicuramente di nuovo questo hotel senza esitazione.

L’hotel si trova in una posizione molto comoda, a circa 15–20 minuti a piedi dalla funivia Col Raiser che porta verso Seceda. Ho potuto lasciare l’auto nel parcheggio dell’hotel ed esplorare liberamente a piedi. Dopo aver preso la funivia Col Raiser e fatto una breve camminata, è possibile prendere la seggiovia Fermeda per raggiungere i panorami mozzafiato di Seceda. Consiglio vivamente di provare l’andata e ritorno con la seggiovia Fermeda: il panorama che si apre davanti agli occhi è davvero...
