It is easy to just walk past Pizzeria La Carbonaia . The entrance is a small doorway into a modern, not too large restaurant. We were welcomed by a friendly service. We were served various dishes, ranging from risotto, pasta dishes to, of course, freshly baked pizza. All served swiftly (within 10-15 minutes). Each dish was really fresh and delicious. We returned a few times, every single time we enjoyed delicious food. Even on a Sunday we arrived unexpectedly, the restaurant was fully booked, yet the manager put in the effort for us to still enjoy a meal. Talking about hospitality! For the price, this place is incredible. Was so nice to say goodbye to tourist prices and feel, and find an authentic and truly local restaurant. The restaurant was basically fully booked, but the waiter rearranged a bunch of tables and fit us in. Service was friendly, quick and very cheap in comparison to what we have experienced on our travels. Packed with locals eating in and getting takeaway. While driving through this town we stumbled upon Pizzeria Ristorante La Carbonaia. The Place was quite crowded during the week, so we decided to give it a shot. And the pizzas were perfect. Thin crust, crisp bottom, amazing tomato sauce and toppings. Pizzas and drinks were reasonably priced, most waiters spoke some English (thanks!) and the experience overall was great.
