Ristorante Dal Cozzaro — Restaurant in San Vito Lo Capo

Arriviamo al Ristorante "Dal Cozzaro" alle 21:30 circa, ci accomodiamo e subito un cameriere ci indica il menù su QR-Code da scannerizzare, perdiamo un po di tempo poiché come abbiamo fatto notare al cameriere, il QR-Code invece di indirizzare al menù indirizzava a qualcosa di diverso, un hotel o residence, non ricordo bene, poi si risolve poiché l'altro Qr-Code funzionava correttamente. Nel Frattempo arriva il cameriere, e vedendo due tavoli molto vicini (era un tavolo da quattro diviso per l'occasione in due da due posti) chiede chi fosse arrivato prima, mia moglie, vedendo che era già all'altro tavolo, con garbo ha detto di continuare lì che noi avremmo aspettato. A quel punto il cameriere risponde "non vi preoccupate tanto io o tempo fino ad ottobre"... fin li sembrava una semplice battuta, anche carina, se poi girandosi verso di me, con aria che non faceva proprio ridere e con aria stizzosa rincarava con "ma voi no"... alias sbrigatevi, non ho tempo da perdere. Non ho voluto qui rimarcare queto sgarbo poiché era una serata particolare e non volevo rovinarla. Speravo che fosse andata meglio con le ordinazioni. Purtroppo non è andata affatto così. Arriva la cameriera a prendere le ordinazioni, e io ordino un piatto con l'astice, al che mi fa notare che la porzione minimo era per due poiché bisognava dividere un astice per due piatti, che quelle erano le regole e non poteva derogare. Benissimo concludiamo le ordinazioni, antipasto, primo, secondo, frittura mista, vino. Dopo pochi minuti, al tavolo vicino al nostro viene servito metà astice… lo stesso cameriere della battuta infelice, aveva accordato a quel tavolo quello che a noi era stato espressamente negato. Questo non mi sembra corretto ne molto professionale, anche una deroga, magari in concomitanza di due mezze porzioni è sbagliata professionalmente proprio per evitare due pesi e due misure. Quello che potrebbe sembrare una gentilezza per un cliente, è invece un grave mancanza verso chi, aveva chiesto la stessa cosa ma non le è stata accordata. Arrivano intanto le cozze e l'antipasto. Le cozze buone, l'antipasto niente di eccezionale, la caponata molto fredda, il polipo gommoso e il resto niente di quello che ci saremmo aspettati. Successivamente viene servita la carbonara di mare e gli involtini di pesce spada i di mare… carbonara con un gamberetto freddo buttato sopra, anche questa fredda e immangiabile, gli involtini a quel punto non sono stati nemmeno assaggiati, abbiamo lasciato le pietanze sul tavolo e pagato il conto siamo andati via. That was our first dining experience in San Vito Lo Capo. We were told that this is one of the best restaurants on the shore. Not at all!!! The service was absolutely horrible, impatient waiter, even kind of rude: asked us in a few minutes after we were seated if we were ready to order, obvious NO!!! After a while we were ready but he disappeared and just ignored us. So we called him, he asked if we are finally ready, we said yes, and he left. Lol without taking our orders!!! We waited a while until he finally took our orders. So the food came, the salad was impossible to chew, the meat was super hard, rubbery , plain, my tuna was on a dry side , not tasty at all, stuffed sardines were good and that’s about it. Quick service, friendly staff, deliciously cooked/prepared food that was very clearly fresh caught. Highly accommodating and willing to sort out anything.

Example: we had a slight issue with the muscles dishes we bought to share amongst 6. It was obvious that they must make a massive pot that gets served out to multiple people. We just got the unlucky draw and got a plate of muscles where each of us were picking out muscles that were just empty and it wasn't just that they were at the bottom of the bowl cause they'd fallen out. But.. we mentioned it to the staff, someone came out and asked what was up specifically. So they brought us out a new bowl very quick with pretty much every muscle there on the house.
