Controcorrente — Restaurant in Sanremo

Not a bad place to eat, but the experience was not very pleasurable

Upon arrival everything is rushed, you are prompted to scan their QR code to view the menu on your phone, they tell you it's in English but it's Italian only and you have to rely on Google translate which makes nonsense of the menu

So then they hand out a few (not enough for everyone) printed menus which are in English and are different to the website!!

When you are ordering you are rushed with them asking you to hurry up, I will say that despite this our order (10 people) was perfect, nothing was missed out

The pizzas are very good, and they are served pretty quickly also and the deserts are also good

However they only have fish starters so you may be disappointed

Despite wanting you to order instantly and eat quickly the staff were very friendly and did help out

Very good value momey when looking for a good pizza place. Cheapest napolitan style pizza (margharita) starts from 7 Euros. Caprese salad is very expensive (15 Euros) and not very special.

Tiramisu was also disappointing and felt like the crema only consisted of mascarpone with no eggs mixed in. Cake crumblings on top looked nice but there's no place for that on a tiramisu!

Staff was friendly and always showed a smiling face. All in all, I would definitely...

La Cena al Ristorante Controcorrente di Sanremo ci ha stupito sia per la freschezza dei prodotti a km zero che per la cordialità ricevuta dal Titolare Alessio Stamilla che da tutto il suo Staff operativo, la parola più indicata è questa “ci siamo fatti coinvolgere dai sapori”, si parte da un ottimo vino d’accompagnamento il Campo al Mare di Bolgheri Rosè ben strutturato che si sposa benissimo con un Antipasto di Mare della Casa credo la maggior espressione che la liguria ci insegna composto da fette di Pesce Spada, Acciughe Marinate, Polpo e Gamberi, per poi passare a due primi piatti un Tagliolino fatta esclusivamente a mano Vongole Veraci e Bottarga a scaglie e degli Scialatielli ai Frutti di Mare la cottura della pasta dei due primi era al dente l’identikit perfetto chiamato Italia, quanto il secondo piatto abbiamo optato per una frittura mista di Pesce e Verdure veramente speciale quando vi è freschezza nei prodotti si rimane stupiti, tirando le ultime righe di questa recensione diciamo che presso questa Location il commensale si trova a suo Agio qui l’organizzazione è del mestiere non ti fa mancare l’attenzione dovuta e l’upgrade di gradimento sale per noi il voto finale nel complessivo è un bel...
