Taccas San Teodoro — Restaurant in Santu Diadòru/San Teodoro

This restaurant really had our goodwill… but it didn’t live up to expectations. The restaurant looks absolutely fabulous with a lovely 50s interior and the waitress seems very nice. Two tips to make sure it can actually live up to expectations: Hire an extra waiter! It took 20 minutes before the one waiter in the restaurant had time to take our order and we finally had our drinks after 30 minutes. The food took another hour but we did not mind this as we were having a slow & fun night. The cost of an extra waiter will pay off by the amount of tables you can serve in one night. Make sure your food looks & tastes as delicious as it looks in your menu. The menu card is really nice as it shows beautiful pictures of good-looking food, but the reality can’t live up to it. Three examples: first, the fries are served with a ridiculously small portion of dip, whilst in your menu it has a generous amount of dip. Second, whilst the bruschettas in your menu card were served on big chunks of beautiful bread, ours were served on rye bread. Kind of a let down. Last, your panadonas were frozen, even at second chance. The lasagna was very creative and nice though.

Un'esperienza molto deludente (purtroppo) ⛔

Il locale è molto carino ed i camerieri sono stati abbastanza gentili. Siamo stati lì per fare un apericena dopo aver visto le recensioni, molto positive, di altri utenti. Purtroppo la nostra serata non è stata delle migliori e non ha rispettato le aspettative. Taglieri che dalle foto sembravano enormi erano in realtà mediocri ed a prezzi abbastanza alti, aumentati appositamente per l'alta stagione (basta guardare le recensioni di un mese fa per vedere la differenza). Il problema principale però sono state le lunghe attese per l'arrivo del cibo, giustificate dalla cameriera incolpando la cucina. Personalmente, avremmo gradito essere avvisati della lunga attesa ⌚

Nello specifico, ci siamo seduti alle 20:30 ed abbiamo ordinato due tipologie di taglieri e dei "piatti unici", assieme a delle bevande 🍖🍹

Le bevande sono sono state consegnate dopo pochi minuti. Al contrario, il cibo è arrivato dopo 1 ora e mezza dopo⌛

Posso capire la serata particolare ma non ritengo corretto non comunicare i tempi al cliente e giustificare a tutti i tavoli che sarebbe stato consegnato tutto in 5 minuti. Altra parentesi, non è carino incolpare i colleghi della cucina per lavarsi le mani 😉

Dopo diversi richiami stavamo per andare via ma all'ultimo ci sono stati consegnati i piatti che, come anticipato, non sono nulla di particolare. L'unico che mi ha lasciato qualcosa sono state le polpettine con patate arrosto, che ho apprezzato 😋

Alla cassa non ci è stato nemmeno chiesto scusa o almeno tolto qualcosa dal conto per scusarsi dell'accaduto (nemmeno il pane, che non è incluso con nessun tagliere ed ha il modico prezzo di 1,5€). Peccato, sarebbe stato sicuramente apprezzato.

Per concludere, non mi piace mettere recensioni basse e preferisco sempre recensire con piacere i locali che mi hanno fatto vivere un'esperienza speciale. Purtroppo vanno anche fatti notare gli errori, sperando che da questi si possa...

The food was delicious, especially the local Sardinian specialties — so fresh and full of flavor! The cutting boards were beautifully presented and had generous portions. A great spot to enjoy authentic Sardinian cuisine with a warm vibe. Definitely recommending this place to anyone visiting San Teodoro! 👍🍷🍽️
