Really bad pasta dishes. Shame for Italy, overcooked! Sauces in one made it inedible for me, my partner ate it because he couldn’t taste anything anyway because of his cold. Another pasta sauce was just not tasty. And the prices are astronomical for the area.

Take this review seriously, at least two dishes at your place were really bad, you have to change. Or stop serving dishes you can’t properly cook, and serve only what you’re good at. I noticed the restaurant’s representative snarky remarks here about the food. A shame for the place, it’s not failing only because of its marketing.

Update to the restaurant reply: it’s sad that you think giving a feedback that the particular dishes on a particular day were really bad is disrespectful. It shows that at least you have no consistency, I’m not going to come and check your food every day just as many of the customers would not and unfortunately for your future, they will not even tell you about it. Also I said that your business is not failing because of the marketing. Your marketing clearly works for nice pictures, otherwise we wouldn’t have stopped at a 4.2 rated place. But the rating is clearly more accurate than the pictures, even though as I can see, sometimes people have a very subpar eating experience at your place that is...

Really nice and big place with very kind and helpful staff that sometimes looked a bit annoyed/stressed but I guess they were often just somewhere else with their thoughts, which I can relate to.

Our waitress on the other hand was always smiling, looking for eye contact and even spoke a little German. Astonishing!

The chairs in the back respectively on the right end of the restaurant are a bit too small for the tables so it kind of feels like sitting on the „big table“ as a child but not that much bothering.

For a restaurant of such size I feel like there should be more toilets. My mother had to wait quite long until she could enter the women’s toilet.

Now for the most important part: the food! We tried many different things like burgers (lamb, boar-truffle, bacon-cheese), arancini cinghiale (boar), cozze (clams) and the porcetto. Everything was pretty tasty and especially the cozze and porcetto were big portions.

The arancini were very tasty but of course a bit pricy for 3 pieces. Considering the special meat, sauce, herbs, nice presentation and the region where we‘re at I guess it’s still kind of appropriate.

Would have loved to try the pizzas as well since they looked really good.

All in all a very nice...

The pizza was ok, arrosticini not the best. We were shocked to find out that they don’t serve ice as it is too expensive. The more we thought about that, the more ridiculous it sounded. We visited numerous other places in San Teodoro and we were always served our drinks with ice. This is even more surprising as Vianello has higher prices than most of the other places. It makes you think if they are saving money on ice, what is the quality of the food ingredients?

Update regarding the review reply: We had soft drinks, not wine. The waitress told us ice is too expensive to be served with soft drinks and explained the entire process to us which I understand. However, it is not a very professional look on the restaurant, especially as it seems that all the other restaurants and bars can afford the ice. The Coca Cola got hot in 10 minutes, giving the very hot weather. Maybe put the price up 50 cents on the drinks, so they can be served and enjoyed cold. I’m saying this as a friendly advice, as this does not sound good at all to customers. You serve good food, the service was friendly and fast, it’s a shame for the experience to be affected by such...

The loveliest place me and my family visited for dinner. Not just because the food was fantastic but because they really did have all bases covered, atmosphere and SERVICE. The food is a mix of street food, traditional/typical and creative plates. As a family with mixed taste everyone had something to enjoy. Compliments to the chef and kitchen team. Service is where it all came together. Our waitress Sylvia was not only beautiful but very attentive, professional and spoke over 5 languages fluently! Super warm, empathetic understood our requirements and really made our experience fantastic. 100% recommended! Also, alongside the amazing authentic food we had some chips 🤦🏻‍♂️, as a Brit I can say the chips were INSANELY GOOD!!!! 👌🏽
