Zeile — Restaurant in Sauris

Unfortunately one of the worst restaurant experiences in Friuli, at least something went wrong in the kitchen. Slow service and bad food: mushrooms with the tagliatelle tasted like rubber. The grissini -partly eaten by someone else- were served together with bread that was frozen in the middle; other pieces had long hairs inside. Wiener Schnitzel full of oil. Avoid and look for better places.

Few vegetarian options, basically you can have frico with polenta and add a salad or regional herbs in it which was what I did and it was quite good. Lacks a bit of salt though. I piatti sono ben preparati, con ingredienti locali e ricette che rispettano la tradizione. Ogni portata è un assaggio genuino del territorio. Il servizio è molto cordiale e gentile, con personale attento e accogliente, che ti fa sentire subito a casa.
