Trattoria da Elena — Restaurant in Sermoneta

Perfect lunch in the ancient city in the hills— worth the trip just to eat here. We found the restaurant by chance, and it was perfect. The host was charming and brought us bruschetta while we waited for our food. I had a glass of red wine, a cheese platter (which arrived with walnuts and honey and a bag of bread) followed by an espresso. I also tasted the tiramisu, and plan to return simply to have one. Very cozy and delicious restaurant. Owners were super friendly and the service was top quality. Not to mention the food - wow! For lunch we had antipasti the farmers platter, ruccola pesto pasta and finished off with tiramisu. A true fiest! 10/10 on food, simply amazing and so was the service. Very warm and welcoming! Trattoria Elena was wonderful. We shared their eponymous Tagliere (chopping board) which was generous and delicious. The staff were friendly and we were lucky to get an outside table.
