Ristorante Pizzeria Da Costa — Restaurant in Sestriere

Arrived in the Ristorante Pizzeria Da Costa in the evening of 07/02/2023 before 8 PM. Company of the 6 friends after long day in the slopes. Hoped for nice dinner, because of the google review. Before dinner waitress asked for drinks, which is always nice! :) After some time, we decided to order some house wine. House wine was brought. Before main course waitress brought bread, but unfortunately, she spilled the wine doing so. The wine was spilled on the pants of none of us. No apologies no nothing – just brought 3 paper towels and threw them on the table. For dinner we ordered one pizza, 4 fillet of the beef and one steak. The pizza was average even if they added extra prosciutto. Three of the guys ordered medium fillet of the beef, but one of us ordered medium rare. Other waitress brought the meal and served for us – guy with medium rare asked if this is his meal, and she replied “Si”. After first cut it was clear that medium rare was given to the other guy. After the call of the waitress suggested to witch the portions. Overview of the food: Pizza was average – nothing special. Fillet of the beef was ok, but it was cooked unevenly – one end was medium done but another end was rare. Meat of the steak was tasty, but it was cook poorly and it was chewy. Very disappointed about dinner in this place. Although it is called restaurant, I can not give it more than 1 star. Ordered steak fillet hoping to have a decent meal in place rated 4 stars. Repeated two time that I want medium rare and once got the meal asked again, and got the answer - "si, si" confirming it is medium rare. Steak was "well done" on sides but in middle 'rare'. Complained about it, but at that point staff pretended they don't speak English and not even apologized. Food for other guys (pizza and ribs) was very average quality. Do not suggest this place and most important not worth the price ...

We, six guys from Sestriere slopes, had dinned at Ristorante Pizzeria Da Costa. Appetizers were very nice. I suggest the peppers with tuna sauce. However the main course left us to desire more, the filet was cooked unevenly and the steak was extremely chewy. The service was unpleasant, the staff did not understand English.
