Avanguardia Trattoria/Hotel — Restaurant in Solferino

Stayed as part of a business trip, booked in by local business. Absolutely brilliant find! Normally expect these sort of places to be ok for an overnight but they normally lack something. This place was excellent though. Room was a good size, clean and had a decent sized bathroom.||Started evening with a few drinks at their cafe/bar then went for dinner here and was amazed at their specialty selection of 10 meats and a selection of seasonal vegetables; excellent value and so very tasty.||Breakfast in the morning was a great simple offering and after the meal the night before, I was grateful for the simple croissant, cereal, coffee and yogurt!||All in all superb value for money and highly recommended......I plan to return but for leisure as well...

Stayed here recently to break up a business trip and the hotel was highly recommended by a supplier. Check in was very easy and we quickly found our way around the local town, people all very friendly and accommodating to foreigners.||The hotel owners were extremely helpful and polite and the restaurant served some local delicacies (some of which were not to my taste, but worth trying purely for experience!) and some good grappa, which my friend did not like but I loved! ||||Ideally located to hop up to Lake Garda (about 10-15 minutes by car)||Would highly recommend...

Nice Hotel, the rooms are quite modern, in comparison to other places I've stayed at in this town and spacious enough to move around in it. Good natural lighting in the bathroom and clean. Bed was a bit old and not so comfortable. Food in restaurant was tasty and fresh. Breakfast typical italian breakfast with coffee, capuccino and brioche or you can request something different directly asking the barista. Overall a good stay. For a weekend out it get's the job done if what you're looking for is a good place to spend the night...
