Ristorante Pizzeria Italia Nuova — Restaurant in Somma Lombardo

EDITED: Upped to 5 stars, as I have been back in Milian twice since and went to two other highly recommended pizzerias. Their pizzas were nowhere as good as Italia Nuova's!!!

We came for pizza and we got great pizza. Note: Monday is only Pizza as the kitchen staff are off. The restaurant sits just off a road that is not busy and has decent amount of alfresco dine space. The staff were very friendly and forgave our horrible attempts at Italian. Most of the staff spoke good English, even though the menus are only in Italian. If you have data the google translate camera function solves this problem. We were very happy with the food, the beer and the cost. Definitely coming back. Only reason why they lost a star was the alfresco dining space felt a bit thrown together, but it really didn’t impact our enjoyment...

Stop looking, stop reading about other restaurants, call your Uber, and go to Italia Nuova immediately. This is the restaurant you're looking for - great pizza, delicious pastas, the most beautiful green salad you could imagine, and the carafes of wine to enjoy with it all. We were looking for a place as we stayed near the airport before our flight home. Skip all the tourist places and go here and enjoy eating like a local. We all agreed if we lived in the area this would be our regular...

I went there for dinner with my Asian family of 3 on 14 of April 2025 and there was this one waiter which I can’t remember her name and she was the most polite and kind soul there she was very patient and very helpful with our order and this place has such amazing pizza with goey cheese and a brutal crispy bottom . I’m so shocked that this place is not popular and to that one waitress I really want to say thank you very much and I hope all good things...
