Desiree Ristorante Pizzeria — Restaurant in Somma Lombardo

We were asking for recommendation from the people on the street, and a lady pointed us to this restaurant. Very good food, and an ambitious kitchen. Unfortunately, my husband ordered something out of the extra ordinary and causing some delay (we looked around, most people just ordered pizza or pasta). When we asked for the cheesecake(we saw they looked very good from other tables), she first said no more. Maybe the waitress wanted to please us, when we asked for the check, she came back 10 mins. later, said they had the cheesecake. But then after another 20 mins. wait, she brought to us something else, like a kind of quark cake or so, different from what we saw... Anyway, it's very good food here, it's a shame when order the special items on the menu, they can't deliver promptly. And being the only waitress there, she's over work that evening. Or was it just our bad luck...

Sono rimasta delusa dall'esperienza in questo ristorante. Siamo arrivati alle 18:41, e veniamo gentilmente informati che la cucina avrebbe aperto alle 19. Nessun problema, ci siamo accomodati e abbiamo aspettato pazientemente per almeno ordinare delle bevande durante l’attesa. Tuttavia, il cameriere è tornato al nostro tavolo solo alle 19:02, dopo ben 21 minuti di attesa, per prendere le nostre ordinazioni. Da notare che eravamo il secondo dei unici due tavoli occupati in quel momento.

Abbiamo ordinato un antipasto e quattro pizze. Siamo stati serviti con un antipasto e tre delle quattro pizze richieste. Solo dopo averlo segnalato, ci hanno portato anche la quarta pizza. Ormai le prime tre erano finite, costringendo uno di noi a mangiare da solo.

L'antipasto, un carpaccio (definizione presa dal dizionario: /car·pàc·cio/ sostantivo maschile “Pietanza di carne cruda di manzo {nel nostro caso, di pomodoro} tagliata a fette sottilissime, condita variamente (olio di oliva e limone, maionesi aromatizzate, aggiunta di scaglie di parmigiano o tartufo, ecc.”) di pomodoro e mozzarella di bufala. La foto si commenta da sola. Pagare 14€ per un pomodoro tagliato casualmente, tutt’altro che sottile, della mozzarella di bufala e un pezzo di insalata senza alcun condimento è inaccettabile.

Per di più, abbiamo notato che due delle pizze erano prive di basilico, ingrediente elencato nel menu) e solo allora il cameriere ha ammesso che era esaurito. Alla cassa, la signora non si è nemmeno scusata per l'inconveniente, limitandosi a uno sconto di 4€ sull'antipasto. Questo atteggiamento è stato estremamente irrispettoso, direi quasi in modo strafottente. Non consiglio assolutamente...

My waiter was friendly but terrible at the same time. He waited on 3 tables that came after us. Waited 15 minutes just to get a beverage. It took over an hour to get my food. I’m literally sitting here watching table after table get their food. After receiving my food the pork wasn’t cooked right. The seafood pasta was watered down and very gross. The pizza was good.
