American tourist who stayed in Soriano for a week. Nothing but positive words for this place. If you love yourself, you’d eat here.
The staff was SO NICE, even walking my parents to the hotel down the road when they had trouble finding it. The gentleman spoke some English and was very kind. The lady was also very kind and patient as my dad was committed to communicate in Italian via Google translate. They contributed to an amazing vacation and experience in an immense way, so much so that I might send them a Christmas card this year! Haha
And the food? AMAZING. They easily accommodated our party of 8 night after night, including a person with a severe peanut and tree nut allergy! The prices are also very fair!!! As a family, we explored a decent amount of the menu during our stay. My highlights include the Broccoli and sausage bruschetta (Bruschetta broccoli e salsiccia) and the artichoke and bacon gnocchi (Gnocchi carciofi e guanciale). And eat the dessert!
If you can’t tell, we loved this place. Great hours. Great service. Great food. My only regret is not eating here more during my...
Read moreWent at opening to have dinner, they weren't ready for customers at that point, even though ther e was no one there yet, so they told us to come back in 30 minutes. We did, the woman we talked to was really nice, she didn't speak English well, so she sent a man to wait on us. He was condescending, short and just shy of rude. We ordered wine and an appetizer, which he didn't seem to realize we wanted first, then we ordered our food (firsti and secondi, as they usually do in Italian restaurants). While we waited for our food, a group of young German kids were seated at a table near us, and he was just as rude to them, almost rolling his eyes and sighing when they asked for a white wine recommendation!! The flavor of the food was good, but the beef was really fatty and undercooked, the pasta, which should have come before the beef, was soupy when we got it. All in all, we were really disappointed in the...
Read moreWe thought were the first guest for the evening arriving at opening time. But no other guest showed up.
The waiter was a stressed man who kept his hosting qualities well hidden.
We ordered the pinsera (kind of pizza) and a salad and baked potatos. The pinsera was average. The salad was a bowl of plain letuce (not a single addition). The baked potatos were not fresh, over-salted and a small portion.
There was no music, but that was well compensated by all the traffic in the street that pumped its gasoline smell through the open door.
We skipped desert and couldn't wait to finish and get out. The salad was charged at €7 where the menu says €5, also the potatos were charges at €7 where the menu says €5. The (plain) water was charged at €1,5 where the...
