English Version: It's okay, but not great, especially considering the price compared to other restaurants nearby.
We had 2 cotoletta Milanese, one side salad and one portion of fries.
We didn't get a table with good view (or any view outside) although the restaurant was nearly empty. (It's okay though since we were asked if we are okay with the table they gave us).
We were able to communicate with the waiters in English.
There was no list of beverages apart from wine.
The side salad was not dressed (that's Standard for Italy) but we were only served Vinegar, oil and salt after extra requesting it. The salad was served without plates, only in a bowl.
The cotoletta Milanese was fine, but wasn't distinguishable as veal. The main courses do not come with any side dishes by themselves.
Therefore we ordered the fries. Size of the portion was okay. They weren't salted and served without dip.
When we asked for the bill we got it quite quickly but nobody came afterwards for us to pay. (Almost felt like we were ignored on purpose because they wouldn't earn anything from us anymore anyways and we didn't have a large bill). In the end we had to get up and pay at the entrance because nobody came. (Restaurant was nearly empty and 3 waiters were around)
Waiters were generally friendly but...
Read moreA very comfortable restaurant with a cute, quaint atmosphere. The staff are all very friendly and accommodating, often remembering customers who have visited in the past. The food was delicious, with great selections from local specialties to common comfort foods. The view from the restaurant is also spectacular. The only negative part of our experience here was that they hosted a birthday party of very loud and vulgar people in their early twenties in the same room as we were sitting in, which disturbed our meal very much. This group was loudly cursing and blaspheming, generally causing a large commotion that the restaurant staff did nothing about. Other than this, the restaurant...
Read moreWe were taking a drive up into the mountains just to explore and we got hungry. Just happened to stumble on to La Trave by sheer chance. OMG. What an unexpected pleasure. Beautiful views, lovely outdoor and indoor space. Rustic, panoramic, spacious, romantic, family friendly. The food and the service was all top notch. My wife’s steak was even better than my ribs, which were fantastic. The Bolognese pasta was delicious and, the kicker, the absolute best tiramisu I have EVER had! I do not know how this meal could have been better. (Yes, prices reasonable,...
