Crotto delle Camelie — Restaurant in Gravedona ed Uniti

Came here for the bank holiday, booked the place, beautiful view nothing to say about that. The food, the staff, the full organisation of the restaurant it’s completely rubbish. Every single table was complaining and didn’t bring a very good atmosphere since when we arrived. We had to wait a bit for the food, and the drinks, found an hair in the pasta. Never tasted a polenta like that. Full of flour no cheese. Trying to ask the staff was just a disaster because they said the food is coming but nothing came. So rude as well. We never finished the fix menu, we couldn’t handle it anymore. Paid the full price (34€ each) without even being asked for the dessert. Never...

The best food I've tasted (wild boar Ragu and pizzoccheri, and sausage with polenta), absolutely incredible. We ordered the same meal twice (pizzoccheri) in one night it was that good. Siamo stati a Giugno nel primo giorno di apertura, che coincideva anche con la novità del cambio di gestione. Premetto di frequentare il crotto da almeno 20 anni. Sono rimasto piacevolmente stupito dalla qualità che è nettamente migliorata, il nuovo gestore ci ha accolti benissimo ed ha anche un po’ rinnovato l’ambiente (tolto il superfluo, tavoli fissi e una rinfrescata generale). L’offerta del menu è immutata e anzi c’è qualche aggiunta, con possibilità di alternative anche per i più piccoli. La posizione è ottima e con vista lago dall’alto (si sale un po’ per arrivare a Stazzona). Unico neo il parcheggio (auto) che benché ampliato negli anni, resta comunque un po’ limitato nei posti. Mi sento tranquillo nel consigliarlo, sperando che il livello rimanga sempre lo stesso.
