La corte del bonton — Restaurant in Sulmona

This was a new restaurant for us to try in Sulmona. Is location is tucked away in a back street with a lovely large and private courtyard. I think the dining atmosphere here in the summer will be lovely. As it was, it was winter and dark and we ate inside. It is tastefully decorated and roomy but with high lighting, no candles etc., it has that slight ‘dining hall’ quality of many Italian restaurants with a TV playing on the wall. Having said that, the rest of the experience was wonderful. They have a very interesting and unusual menu, full of treasures made with seasonal ingredients and presented in unusual ways. We booked for lunch and we found ourselves alone in the restaurant and this was the good part The food was very disappointing The pasta with the ragu was boring The other linguine with shrimp was flat with no flavor as well For main course my wife ordered a chicken that was boring !!! Nel centro di Sulmona, una traversa del corso principale, si apre questo ristorante.Colpisce subito la splendida corte esterna davanti allo stesso,lontano dal traffico e dai rumori. Sembra un mondo a parte e fa pensare all'estate e quanto sarà gradevole nella stagione estiva mangiare all'aperto in tranquillità. L'interno è accogliente e ben arredato con dei grandi finestroni che danno luce e respiro alla sala. I ragazzi all'interno (cucina e sala) sono tutti giovani,accoglienti,pazienti e preparati. La cucina è gourmet con piatti rivisitati ed accostamenti impensati ma sapienti e soddisfacenti sia alla vista che al palato. Lasciatevi consigliare cosa ordinare, dite solo quello che vi piace e che vi piacerebbe assaggiare. La cantina è fornita di buone etichette. Non ci sono barriere architettoniche .
